I remember these being at Sams Club back when I use to go there. I mostly go to Costco now.

I just recently bought a Sanitaire sc679k about two weeks ago, and I looked at the rating sticker on the bottom and was surprised to see it was made in Mexico. It even says that it was made by Bissell International Trading Company.

I have the Eureka version (white cord and pedal release), and also a ESP 2109 (nothing more than an older vintage version with the rugulator), both are excellent vacuums, arguably better than any of my Kirby's. Also I like the sound of the metal motor better than the plastic motor, and I imagine that cleaning performance between the 2 are nearly or completely identical.

Very good! I fixed up a Mexican version of one of these for a customer about three years ago. Far as I know, he still uses it for his cleaning business.

I'm lucky enough to have a Mexican made one with the ametek motor, and it's probably the best cleaner I have.

I hate how companies switch from making things in America or Mexico to China. Don't companies know that the more money you put into a product, the more money you will make because the product will be more popular because it has a good reputation because it is made better.

I've got a Franken-Sanitaire, which is a Sanitaire Quick Kleen, the one with the headlight and Mexican motor, but the vinyl chute in the original outer bag perished and dust went everywhere. so I went on eBay and bought a Perfect dust cup assembly, as even the heavy duty bag like what's on these would have been 2x the price, and I'm not about to sink more money than I have to on a $5 machine, with the new bag it works decent, and the filtration is marginally better than the stock bag and Sanitaire dust cup due to better seals and a different fabric, works pretty good, just haven't gotten to using it much since I like my Taski so much

I prefer the metal motor!!! To this day if I get a new Sanitaire I toss out the plastic motor and put in the GOOD motor!! Where did you get the LED light bulb?

The Perfect P101 still uses the old school Ametek motor. I’d get a new Sanitaire and swap out the motor. I can order the motor for the Perfect P101 along with a gasket, and then it will be like the old school Sanitaires.

I've got an old Windsor XP12 I got for free, I believe it has a bad motherboard, as when you plug it in the motor and bag full indicator turn on momentarily, after that the machine is dead to the world unless it's unplugged for awhile, any advice on where to find a good motherboard and/or other troubleshooting steps would be appreciated, I took it to the local Sebo/Windsor dealer and he told me that it'd be better if I fix it myself, as the machine isn't worth what he'd charge, overall the machine is in excellent shape and had a new brushroll and cord put on when I got it, I'm also waiting on the stimulus package to take 3 Lindhaus built machines to the dealer for motor replacement, those machines are a Nilfisk Advance PowerOne 12 I got for $50, a Nilfisk Advance Carpetwin 14 I got for $70, and a Nobles Tennant Ultraglide 12 I got for $50, all were bought fully functional, but the sheer amount of use they get wears the motors out in no time, I'm on my 4th machine, a kinda rare Taski Tapitronic 38, I love that machine, everything from the color scheme to the sheer versatility, only gripe is it not having the carpet cleaner capability, though the PowerOne and Ultraglide have that capability

I know that you are NOT big on bag less and cordless vacuums but I do know you’re big on helping people, especially when it comes to your expertise. (vacuums) Anyway, if you absolutely had to pick one cordless vacuum, which one would you pick from the following list: LG Cordzero A9, Samsung Jet 90, Miele Triflex HX1, Roborock H6 or the Tineco Pure One S12?
