Finally got to watch this. Really good, made me interested in not only Darth Krayt the character but also the post Jedi stuff altogether.

You forgot to mention something. Darth krayt was merely adopted by the dark; Darth Bane was born in it, moulded by it. He didn't see light till he was already a man.

Well, I'm an admitted Bane fan...but your final argument was pretty convincing. I do think that by all rights, Bane is a more naturally gifted master of the Force as Krayt had to literally die in order to attain his trump card. I also do still consider Bane to be the better duelist. But Krayt is also a master martial artist, has greater combined years of experience and the dark transfer ability is impossible to ignore and definitely could change the game completely. Overall, while Bane represents the true way of the Sith in my book, Krayt is definitely fair competition and I could see this going either way.

I think you forgot to include the example of Krayt driving his fingers into Abeloth's stomach, something similar to Plagueis' punching through a Maladian assassin. In spite of her futile attempt to Force blast him off, and despite the two of them and Luke rolling across the Lake of Apparitions' surface, Krayt didn't even let go. That would go well with his physical abilities and Force abilities. And then there's this: _"Mara, it's okay," Luke said. "I'm ready. I want to be with you."_ _"Too bad." He felt his upper body rising as she tried to push him upward. "I don't want to be with you-not here, not yet."_ _"What?" Luke asked, feeling more confused than resentful. "Mara, I'm wounded... badly. Abeloth took something out of me."_ _"She wounded him, too." Mara's other hand rose out of the water and pointed past Luke's head, toward the tattooed Sith who had helped Luke kill Abeloth. The stranger was on his feet, limping toward the far shore with both hands clutched to his chest. "If he can do it, so can you."_ Did you know that Hett/Krayt also knew Teräs Käsi? Taught it to a Tusken during his return on Tatooine. By Very popular demand I present my most requested battle to date. The Sith'ari VS The Dragon, The Rule of Two VS The Rule of One. I hope you guys enjoy.

This is one of my favorite versus series videos. Being the fact it's taking two exceptionally powerful Sith Lords who each founded their own orders and were the most the most powerful Sith of their each age. In a way, it's like comparing old works of art and newer works of art to see which is superior. Truly an impressive examination.

EvanNova, this was truly an absolutely amazing video. Thank you for doing one on two of my favorite Sith Lords. I really enjoyed the analysis of these characters. For a future verses video could you do Mara Jade vs Bastila Shan? I know you've used Bastila before, I just think it would be cool to have this match since you used their respective husbands. Out of all of the versus videos you have done, this is my favorite. Again thank you for this video.

That was a great video! Definitely the best vs battle I've seen on your channel. I think that if Darth Bane had his parasitic worms still on him he'd win but without them I think of it as a tie.

Darth Krayt can also bring himself back to life, effectively being the only sith to obtain true immortality so even if Bane could beat him it wouldn't have been for long (only reason he died in Legacy was because they threw him into a sun, their was nothing to bring back to life). Kind of hard to kill someone who can keep getting back up presumably stronger each time. Coming back as a force ghost is not true immortality. Your body still died. Physically raising your self completely healed from the dead is true immortality.

I feel like experience in battle is sometimes undermined, I'm happy to see that battle experience would end up playing such an important part.

"Krayt is a fucking beast"-Jensarrai1. This is the only council versus match with Darth Krayt in it, this quotation needs to be said. Also Darth Krayt vs Jaina Solo Fel or Darth Krayt vs Exar Kun (I think Krayt wins off of Force abilities, but I am always go back in forth between how Krayt can deal with Advanced Trakata tactics and logistics of dual blades vs archaic saber-staff).

Alright, I am a massive supporter of Darth Bane, and have a hard time imagining him losing to anyone. That being said, the shatterpoint ability does make their battle very one sided in terms of outcome. I love your videos and appreciate the point of doing fair and accurate comparisons as opposed to letting your opinion lead you to a path of "I say so, so it has to be true." Keep up the good work, and i look forward to seeing what you offer in the future.

This is an interesting duel they’re both quite evenly matched but I think you were right as far as Darth Krayt’s experience and other unorthodox force abilities.

Last thing, you said Bane's physical advantage would not play a deciding role, though I do disagree in a sense. If Krayt DID manage to hit him with either one of his lightsabers, I doubt Bane would drop dead instantly, as he is just far too tough to let pain get the better of him, or even kill him for that matter. Krayt would have to land at least 3 hits on him to kill him, and you even stated that Bane was stronger and more agile than Krayt, which would definitely play some kind of decisive factor against him. But again, Krayt's Dark Transfer might enable him to win. So, in the end, good comparison!

I can imagine both of them doing a childish, "Nuhuh" argument on the nature of Sith.

I honestly don't know why people don't like emperor krayt is it because he abolished the rule of two if so it's not like bane actually followed his own rule. Also bane was wrong about the rule of two. He said the sith would turn on each other which they never did instead when krayt died they followed Darth nihl to the unknown regions I kind of wish they make a story about that

Some of you are saying that Bane is a better duelist, and that could potentially be true but Krayt is on the same tier of dueling skill with TWO sabers, being powerful enough with two sabers to kill Bane in a flat out fight.

Darth Bane would probably win if he were wearing his orbalisk armor, but assuming he was not, Darth Krayt just has too much experience and tricks up his sleeve. After all, Bane was technically one of the Sith he learned from, plus all of his various other training.

Actually, Bane got around his weakness against dual blades. During the battle on Tython he was able defend himself from three different Jedi, one of whom had dual blades. Each jedi attacked Bane from different angles to, knowing where his weak point was, and he still kept his guard up.

Awesome vid Evan! Here's an interesting suggestion: Mother Talzin vs (any powerful Sith sorcerer) perhaps Naga Sadow? Sure, Talzin isn't or a Jedi or a Sith, but she is a force user (though not naturally), and very skilled in sorcery. Just something to consider.

With further examination, Soresu is the lightsaber form that perfects defensive abilities and keeps the opponent from touching him. Krayt's Shatterpoint Force ability can only be used by touching him. Plus, I imagine it hard for Krayt to get past both his forms of Soresu (Defense) and Djem So (Defensive Counter Attacks).

Great video but I was wondering about Banes saber the curved hilt made him change the way he held the saber and made the angles of his attack change by a fraction making it difficult for opponents not familiar with the subtle changes it creates. That doesn't really change anything I agree with your theories its just something worth mentioning. Thanks for the video.

Most excellent explanation! I concur and understand most all of it. There are two unspoken for contributes that play a vital role in the outcome. References beyond count state that environmental advantages have a say in how their battle will play out and who utilizes them usually has the upper hand. The other contribution is that evil empowers evil doing, such as good empowers good doing. Any bond that would be considered a wild card for someone friend or foe who stands behind Bane or Krayt in their paths could ultimately help in a final result. I still agree with a one on one battle stage where no interruptions were possible the outcome would be Krayt but no one can account for an ever changing environment or hidden ambitions.

In all honesty, out of all of the versus series (not only on EvanNova95's channel but also everywhere else on KZfaq), this is the versus match I would want and love to see. If I had to choose one versus match.... Someone get on that!

I kind of feel that if Krayt were to grapple Bane and attempt to destroy him with his Shatter Point abilities, I think this would work against him. While Bane is being torn apart from the inside out, what would stop him in his last moments of desperation to use his death field ability. I know that does sound ridiculous but if you think about it. Krayt it right there touching/holding on to Bane, and while Bane's death field would not be as big in radius as it was on Prakith, I feel it would be more than enough, in my view to encompass Krayt since he's in such a close range to Bane. And bear in mind Bane's death field instantly causes his victims to wither and die. I don't feel Krayt would be able to have the strength of mind to switch from his intense focus from killing Bane with Shatterpoint to his Dark Transfer healing powers that quickly as well as I said the Death Field instantly causes the victim to wither and die right on the spot. How do you think in moment when your shriveling up and going to be no more. I do believe Bane would be enormously exhausted after doing this but I feel he would soundly have won, though by the skin of his teeth.

Evan, for where you take the pictures of the comments and where it looks like bad quality and such, I recommend a program called "Gyazo" On windows (not sure how it works on Mac) you just put it onto your quickstart bar, and it gives you a grey screen. You crop out what you want to screenshot, and it brings you to their website along with the image you cropped. It is very useful and you can also make .gifs with it, all the screenshots will be in the quality of the image. From their you would simply save them to whatever folder you want them in and DONE!

Im not trying to be arrogant or anything, but if Krayt did manage to use his Dark Transfer technique on Bane, just because he managed to do so doesn't exactly mean he would be able to exploit the presented weakness straight away. I mean, Bane had a vast knowledge of Soresu and Djem So, which would definitely keep Krayt at bay, and I don't quite know how, but was Krayt not only able to use the Dark Transfer technique by putting his hands on the person he wished to use it on? If that is the case, I'm sure Bane would be fast enough to dodge him, as it was stated that he was able to deflect (I'm not quite sure) every single rain drop in a cloudburst, but the fight could go either way, and I think Krayt and Bane were awesome sith lords. I think that Darth krayt's dual wielding would be a bigger edge than you give it credit for, but still a pretty good video.

I admit to being a big Bane fan, but your arguments r convincing. The dark transfer/shatterpoint ability is a major ability to be factored into the equation. But I do have a question: If Bane's defense is so good, how would Krayt gain the necessary physical contact in order to use that particular ability? I don't want to be contrary, this is a genuine question based on curiosity. This is possibly the best video I've seen u do, and u did a great job. Hey Evan Nova, I have an interesting idea for your versus series. Instead of only do light saber duellists vs light saber duellists, do a shooter vs shooter. For example, have Jango Fett vs Boba Fett, father vs son deal. Or take a clone/bounty hunter such as Commander Cody vs Bossk or IG-88. Or have a Jedi/Sith with a shooter, like your group versus, that would be awesome. Well you get the idea. I think this idea would be very interesting and a good change of pace and well I'm just curious on who would win in a shootout.
