Fantasy pour on 24x36 canvas featuring Golden's paint in Maroon, Payne's Grey, Iridescent Gold, Pearl and Anthraquinone Blue!
Hello Friends!
Last week I started color testing Golden's Permanent Maroon; I paired it with Pearl and Gold, it was lovely and soft. I really wanted to do a painting that showcased the bold dark deep Maroon color, this is that painting.
My Colors are:
Golden's
-Permanent Maroon
-Anthraquinone Blue
-Iridescent Gold Deep
-Iridescent Pearl Fine
-Payne's Grey + Interference Gold
My pouring medium is:
Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
Water as needed
Floetrol
I love how shimmery this painting turned out! The darker more solid areas from the straight pour really highlight all the beautiful curved lines of the ring pour..
While I was pouring the end of my cup a very pretty design appeared, it reminded me of fragrant white Jasmine flowers on a vine, against a sapphire sky, right before sundown.
I hope you enjoy this video, I love how this painting turned out! The Maroon is deep and rich and didnt go pale this time.. and played beautifully against the darker blues with the Gold.

Mina I am 74 years old and an artist and retired registered nurse. I watch all your videos and I just love you so much... I haven't painted in two years because I've been ill but I'm working to get out of this bed and get back to my art period I love to work with resin and love to do ring pores I I especially love mixed media....love your kittycat and your dog and your HOA! You inspired me to do a large 24”x48”. I wanted to do it in fall colors after thinking the vines behind you have such beautiful colors-greens, golds. It came out pretty cool for my first try.

Love that permanent maroon, especially with gold,this pour is gorgeous.You'll think I'm nuts but, I can't keep my eyes off the grapevine behind you. The colors and what looks like wrought iron fence, gives me goosebumps. Am I nuts?

Absolutely gorgeous painting! Love the gold part it looks like flames and all the rings of blue looks like a tunnel...so 3 D. You have really inspired me. I did my first little 12x12 yesterday and it turned out pretty good but it cracked. I think it's because I didn't put any varnish in the undercoat. So pretty for my first try.Thankyou you are so great!!

Hi Sandra! Im so happy that you are enjoying your pouring journey! Paint cracks when there is too much of it left on the surface of the canvas.. try tilting a bit more off next time. You should be able to tilt it almost all the way vertically and not see paint moving, then you are done. If your paint is still sliding there is too much on there. Paint cracks when the surface dries faster than the inside. Good luck and have fun! ❤

Love these colors together! Beautiful artwork. Recently came across your channel and have been watching your videos. Really enjoy learning from you as am new to acrylic pouring. I also live in So Cal. It’s mid November and will be in the 90’s here today . I haven’t tried pouring outdoors yet. Somedays I feel like I am wearing more paint than I get on the canvas.😂

oh this is so beautiful Mina! love that Maroon colour. Actually I love all the colours from Golden but here in Germany I hardly can afford them. 118ml (normal purple, no gold ect.) are about 25 Dollars, I wonder how much it is in the USA? Having just started pouring, you have inspired me to try better paints. I listened to several say even cheap paints work just fine. LOL welllll not so much for me. So I'm going to try a few better paints and see if that helps along with a ton of practice. This is gorgeous and I love how you share your mistakes with us.

Kia ora Mina from NZ! As my fellow Kiwis get ready to take part in our Climate Strike I thought I would try & do my bit by asking those KZfaq fluid artists whose work inspire us to help the cause. Around the world people are joining forces in an effort to demonstrate just how dangerously close we are bringing this planet - this home to us all - to a point of no return. We can & have to do better. So I'm asking all of us who pour acrylics to do so responsibly and to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle as much as possible. If you could use your platform to continually remind your viewers to minimize our waste and our acrylic footprint on the planet then the earth & I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Sharon! I am absolutely behind your cause! I love to paint and do what I can to decrease my footprint.. My table that I pour on is my old Kitchen table that I've had for 10 years.. I use a glass beaker to pour with, I use and reuse and scrape and reuse again the plastic sheeting on my table, I reuse my drips as basecoat. My family is very big on recycling! I have 2 daughters that have been taught since babyhood to Reduce, Recycle and ReUse! Our schools here in Southern California also teach RRR from a very young age 😊 thank you for your efforts, my family and I stand with you all! Much love to you ❤ prayers up for a healthier world 🌏
