Hello Friends!
One of my favorite paints is Golden's paint. In terms of depth of color, purity and texture, it is pretty hard to beat. I had a jar of Goldens Permanent Violet Deep that I was enjoying so much and sadly finished... today the new jar arrived and I am so excited to do a big Fantasy pour with what has turned out to be one of my new favorite colors!
A few weeks ago I was painting with the Violet and Paynes Gray with Pearl and it was producing some really beautiful effects, gorgeous shading and blending from the Pearl and Violet. Today I am doing the big pour I have been thinking about for weeks!
My Colors today are:
Golden's
~Permanent Violet Deep
~Anthraquinone Blue
~Payne's Gray
~Titan Violet Pale
DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics
~ Pearl
There is NO SILICONE in my paint.
My Pouring medium is
~Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
~GAC800
~Floetrol
~Water as needed
A Fantasy Pour is a combination of a straight pour and a wandering ring pour that produces beautiful rings and ribbons of more solid color with some juicy cells.

i love your fantasy pour technique, i know these your older video but as a beginner it's really helpful to see not only different techiques but that you show the ones that didn't work and why, what you learned. i can't explian very well but your way to not let the mistakes put you off is sooo inspiring, thank you, thank you and one more thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so looking forward to the video giving important fundamental information. I liked what you shared today also. Rudimentary playlists would allow beginners to learn from your expertise before moving onto the videos that deal more with your advanced skills. The colors today were beautiful. I especially loved the violet. Just wow.

That violet is fantastic; I'm going to have to get me some of that. Love your videos -- always learn so much from them! Trying to visualize it using greens instead of blue, might have to try it. Will probably do a blue as well as a green. Yours is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Just stumbled on you yesterday and am so in love with your wonderful down to earth attitude, laugh and incredibly beautiful work. I TOTALLY agree with the person filming. Your videos have without a doubt made a ton of money for Golden Paints. They should sponsor you. At the very least, you should approach them. I am looking at buying their paint now because of you and I can bet many others have done the same thing.

This is so beautiful!! The depth and the way lines held their structure, uhh love it!! And you're so right about the Golden's paints!! They rock! Nothing tops them! Arteza is really good too, and reasonably priced, in my opinion. I just spent .... Not gonna say the amount in case my babe sees this comment lol 🤣🤣 He just doesn't get how important quality paint is!!!! And the Liquitex medium and varnish, pricey, but for me, essential! You have created a monster lol, I'm so obsessed with paint, and I want them all, I can't just have a few colors and mix to get diff colors, OH NO, I MUST HAVE ALL OF THE BEAUTIFUL PAINTS lol! 😆😍 I always tell him "Mina uses these paints, and you know how awesome her art it" and he usually bends a bit lol, cus he loves your paintings too, tho he's not that into art, he is into MINE cus he sweet 😍🥰😊! Anyway, I love this piece, especially that violet.. sooo pretty against EVERY other color, worked very well! Mina, you really know how to put together an amazing color pallette! Pouring mediums. I don’t understand gac 800. The gloss you mentioned that you add to your mix. All of this would be so much appreciated! 🤗 I have to tell you... I am in awe of how you maneuver these large canvases.

Got it, thank you! Use GAC800 when you do a repour so your paint won't crack... The Golden's Soft Gel is for thickening up paint that is very thin.. Golden's makes High Flow acrylic paint that is like water, that's where the Soft Gel comes in, otherwise it has no body or thickness to it, hard to pour if your other paints are all thicker. Thanks for your suggestions, I'm gonna start writing these down

@@ZeeAllieNY10010 start with about 30 grams (1 ounce) of your pouring medium, and about 15 grams of paint. Stir it up really well and then add a bit of water at a time until it's just thicker than you want, then add your Floetrol, about 30 grams, the same as your pouring medium. That's a good starting recipe. You may need more water depending on the color and what technique you are doing. ..But that should get you going 😉

Mina I LOVE those colors as well!! I prefer the higher quality paints too. I agree selling your painting is more comfortable when you have quality paints on the canvas. Just a gorgeous pour!! I add GAC 800 to all my paints because I never know when I'm going to leave a bunch on my canvas. Sometimes I fall in love with the piece and stop tilting before I thought I would. Since I've started using it, I haven't had any crazing. I just got a gallon in the mail yesterday and promptly spilled it all over my table while refilling my squirt bottle. Thank goodness I had silicone baking mats down and was able to funnel it back into the bottle.😂. Okay, now to actually watch the video🤣

I am doing this myself because I have noticed the same even as a beginner that this is very true and I been buying more n more Goldens products lately in last couple months . I especially love the Deep Turquoise and the hi flow gold . So many to choose from lol but I am loving the deep violet you used in a few I seen you do with it . As always.. Just wow Mina. I am constantly learning and being inspired. Makes me want to use up my paints so I can start accumulating the Golden... I am also excited about a video explaining the mediums... I use various types of Liquitex and Golden and I use Flotrol.. I want to know what I can use where. In another vid I learned that using over 25% water the paint binders may break down. The solution offered was to use airbrush medium, which I have done and I love it. But I would really like to know more. And while Liquitex has a web site they do not address what I am looking for. And GAC has so many also... So I will be looking for that upcoming video. BTW, I get so excited when a new Mina vid comes up. Your enthusiasm is contagious.

If I could just understand those two...they have alot to offer but I stand confused. There is so much to learn and so many products.. Thank you Nikki! You can repour a couple of times, but the more dried layers of paint on there, the more chance of cracking. I personally dont repour more than once, there's too much room for something to go wonky. The drier the used canvas is the better, you definitely dont want to repour on something that is just barely dry yet. If you can get some GAC800 it will help a lot in the new pour not cracking. Ordered from Blick Art Supply online! They are so nice, theres even a human being that you can call and speak with who actually knows what they are talking about, its amazing!

Mina Villegas Art Thanks, Mina. I will have to try to find them here in Canada. I used to order from Blick at least 10 years ago, but at some point in time, their shipping prices became as much as the order. I have bought Fluid Golden paints from Opus in Victoria, so if I travel there someday, I will buy some heavy body. I use Amazon.ca a lot for painting supplies because they have no shipping charge if you are on Prime, but they also do not carry Golden heavy body paints. I was wondering which painting group you and Heather are from. I did sign up in a few flow painting groups on Facebook 2 years ago, but I am very ill with cancer, so my cancer groups became more important to me. I guess I am realizing, as I do watch so many videos on KZfaq about flow painting that I missed a lot by not being active in any group. I know that I get notifications sometimes from Gina’s group.

Oh great...now I have to convince my husband that I have to sell our second child for Goldens Paints after I sold the first for all Liquitex Paints. I`m saving the third for wooden canvases....lololol. As always, outstanding work!!

Get an apron at Michaels next to the blank totes and stuff. I bought two. One to pour on and one to wear while painting. I'm going to call it "working art" 😂✌️😍
