24x36 Acrylic Pour Painting using the Kiss Pour Technique combined with a Cloud Pour Inspired by a collaboration from Olga Soby of Smart Art Materials & Molly Corley Leach of Mollys Artistry
Hello Friends!
I was watching KZfaq the other day and saw a collaboration video from Olga Soby of Smart Art Materials and Molly Leach from Mollys Artistry and it was so cool! They used Satin Enamels to combine a cloud pour with the Kiss pour, it was really interesting to watch. I realized that I had not done a kiss pour before, and had the idea to do it on a bigger scale. Thats what todays video is about, a great big ol kiss pour! 💋😘💝 To make it my own, I am using a 24x36 canvas and using 16 ounce cups for the pouring cups!
My colors are:
Arteza
- Pearl Deep Brown
Liquitex Basics
- Cadmium Orange Hue
DecoArt Americana Decor
- Soft Gold & 24K Gold
- Neutral Beige & Warm White
- Metallics Pearl & Warm White
Golden's Fluid Acrylic
- Nickel Azo Gold
- Deep Turquoise
* both with Golden's Soft Gel Gloss to thicken
Basecoat - Artist's Loft - White
- Soft White Satin Enamels
My pouring medium is :
Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
Paint + a Bit o' Water
Floetrol
There is NO Silicone in Any of my Paint
My pour didnt come out like theirs did, but I had a lot of fun and learned a few things.

Love it. To me it looks like an aerial view over water from a plane. It is as if the clouds parted just enough to see a small rocky island along the coast.

💘 this Mina! The colors are beautiful. The cells remind me of gem agate stones and the blues make me think of the different depths of the Caribbean ocean. I'll definitely have to check out the kids pour. Thanks again for sharing yourself and time.

Beautiful lady ~ Beautiful painting my friend. :) I could see it hung in a gorgeous beach house in the living room - with the view of the sea waves crashing on the shore just beyond it. The dried result was truly gorgeous too, just like you. xoxo

I love it, it feels very beachy to me with the turquoise and soft white & the pebbly cells. Thanks for always explaining what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Helps newbies like me understand what we need to do to make things work. And you’ve made me realise I think I’m having so many problems with pours because I’m not using enough paint (worrying about wasting paint is always on my mind - paint is not cheap!) and then I’m overstretching the paint and don’t get those nice big thick lines of colours, mine always end up with skinny lines and very zig zaggy looking & it looks very busy which is totally not the look I was trying to achieve. Back to the garage I go to keep practicing lol

Definitely very beachy! What's so interesting is that I did not get that at all while working on it.. I only saw the beachyness after it was dried and I was looking at it from farther away. So interesting! Thanks for watching and commenting 🥰

I have an experiment challange. I honestly haven't been able to find any satin enamel stuff in any of my arts supply store. But figured, you just might be interested in the idea. While I send envy hearts your way. Was thinking of the kiss pour you did with the stuff. Just trying it with same shape canvas (rectangle) doesnot need to be so big. Pour in on a slight tilt to the canvas. Instead of the canvas being level, have length wise one side higher. Not sure how much. The idea is to let the paint flow from the top or highest area to the lowest. Using kiss pour and the satin enamel. In my head, that sounds like right description. Just the angle or tilt of the canvas.. I wish i could help with that. I have just begain to do abstract art. And can only do it out side at present. I live in alaska. So it's getting colder. Not sure, when I will get another chance to figure out my consistency. My edges tell me it's not correct. So I will be watching your videos with envy.

Very cool !!! You need the extra large Lolivefe silicone mat to catch all that beautiful paint run off. I always love your amazing color combinations !!! Thank you for always sharing. There are several artists that use housepaint in their work: Elyse Fournier, Molly Leach.. it provides an interesting effect. Most of the time it is used as a basecoat or background color. I used it in my Waiting for Aphrodite video.. The only way you're going to know for sure is to try it.. to figure out how much paint you need, multiply the length by the width of your canvas, then divide by 28. 10x10= 100 ÷ 28 = 3.57 ounces You always divide by 28..
