A local FB group recently had a post submitted asking if anyone wanted to participate in a Floyd 'protest next Tuesday. I kinda felt a little sorry for the female that posted this, because we are about an hour north of Atlanta and she caught a lot of flack. I responded and I hope I was courteous in my response by suggesting that she rephrase the request from protest to memorial. I also suggested that a consultation with our county sheriff would be advisable because permits for large gatherings are needed to plan for crowd control, especially given the sensitive nature of the gathering. She had employees who worked in the complex begging her to not bring that kind of trouble to an area where they worked. Others telling her to take that trouble to downtown Atlanta, that it wouldn't be welcome here. Her post was removed within about a half hour. I think she took it down.

I introduce myself as "Christopher" and people often address me as "Chris" within moments, almost as if to say "How pretentious! I'm not saying ALL those syllables." I don't make a big fuss about it, but I do it to differentiate myself from all the Christophers, Crystals, Christinas, Kristins, Christians, etc. who answer to Chris. One little passive-aggressive thing I do sometimes is nickname them back. "Thanks Chris." "You're welcome Mikey, or Benny, or Richie, or Brucie, or Babs ..." I use whatever childish/informal version of their names they _didn't_ give when we introduced ourselves. Sometimes they get it. (Zoli and Zolika are two nicknames I found for Zoltan with a quick web search.)

I was recently looking at Master's in Teaching degrees from different colleges around here. Because I graduated from Evergreen I thought I would check out that program. Obviously most education programs now are heavily "infected by the D.I.E. religion" as Gad Saad points out, but also as obviously Evergreen's MiT program is so blatant about it. I think I would prefer a MiT program that offers the skills to help students learn and support families rather than usurp them in the name of "social justice" 🤷‍♀️.

I am shocked, shocked I tell you! Shocking development!

My question is: Where is the cash for these settlements coming from? Evergreen College must be indemnified via some type of insurance policy and such policies usually come with limits on the degree of indemnification offered. Any responsible insurer must regard Evergreen as an entity with a high potential for liability and that will be reflected in the premiums charged. Some police municipalities have gone bust because they can't afford the premiums for insurance policies due to settlements arising from police misconduct. Who the hell would be willing to endemnify Evergreen, the entire college is one huge liability on stilts.

To quote JL...."we're all Evergreen College now".
