@@topherjn I understand that Evergreen has been too lenient and supportive of SJW far-left propaganda, but you continuously call it a shit school. Since you continue to only criticize SJWs and the people running the school over their politics and lack of supervision, but also say the school is only fit for idiots who "couldn't get into better schools" it's clear that you are either full of shit in terms of qualifications for what the school offers academically and not politically, or you're just simply forgetting to include why the school is not only a mess politically but also academically. Or you mean that shit-school merely represents the political bias. But that seems far too basic. Maybe I'm wrong. Please go into more detail. The rant about the SJWs is all too obvious and I agree with that part. I want to go to Evergreen to enlighten the SJWs there if possible, but also because they have a system where it's project-oriented and less about standardized testing and daily homework. If I like to study in odd schedules and work on projects in odd hours, but I get it done and do better than most people (as I have throughout my life), then Evergreen is perfect for me. I also hate SJWs and expect to either have to keep my mouth shut or be a target or revolutionary at the school. But your comments seem to glaze over how the school is somehow generically shit in all ways and that there are "better schools" that all the students of Evergreen "could not get into." No, most students want to go to Evergreen for their different style. It's only been in recent years that Evergreen has been taken over by flagrant overblown social justice nazis.

Hoolee shit Rokku. You are not already embroiled but you are now thinking of enrolling at Evergreen? Seriously man? I would most definitely be giving the whole school, system, and what you are expecting to get AND how much it is going to cost another damn good coat of looking at. I'm really not having a go at you, but you come over as having a slight bias in favour of Evergreen and somewhat of a defence mechanism. You do also realise that qualifications from Evergreen have been "tarnished" and somewhat devalued of late, and there appears to be every chance that will continue or worsen. And why the fuck are you feeling it incumbent on you to go and "educate" these spoiled, entitled, overgrown, infantilised juveniles? You are paying to go there to learn yourself, not be a free educator, or more likely babysitter. I myself wouldn't go with a hundred miles of the place, and certainly NOT while Georgie boy Bridges is still there "steering the ship". I really would be giving this more than a second thought myself, and for any of my family. There are just way too many bad warning signs. The risk is entirely too great. BTW. Have you seen how the enrolments have been heading lately? They have had to close some dorms and "delayed/deferred/put off" the plans they had in place for extending thier housing scheme. There really doesn't appear to be much going right, and thier attitude seems to be to double down and carry on with the head down.

@@peterbrooks5476 - Just because he didn't include why Evergreen is a shit school does not mean that it is not. It is most definitely a shit school. It didn't even have grades in the 90s. Students would grade themselves. It has a 98% acceptance rate. Most of their courses are not even education. It has a terrible reputation in the State of Washington. Even with a 98% acceptance rate they only managed to get 300 students this year.

Couldn't agree more. It really is repugnantly repelant listening to the disgraceful, self pitying, victimhood mentality and constant playing of the race and sex card, in fact she has a full deck of oppression cards it seems. The level of indoctrination, delusion and detachment from reality is quite something to witness. These people appear to have zero clue how most of the population, the normal everyday working stiff, or the actual working class, the ones that ACTUALLY do everything and keep it all going, have it and how life is. I'm a white hetero bloke. Apparently I'm at the pinnacle of the hierarchy, according to them and thier ideology. Yeeaayyy!! Yet, for some strange unfathomable reason I left school and had to go to work, to be able to fucking eat and remain housed. I was even "lucky" (must have been a bit of that white male privilege kicking in) in that I got an actual apprenticeship, down a bloody coal mine. The very idea of a quarter of a million Dollars, Quid, or Euros as a glad handed fuck off, seems to me to point squarely in the direction where the actual real privilege resides. Sorry, I got a little carried away. I initially just posted to concur absolutely. It does indeed make one sick to the very bottom of ones stomach. So much so that ones toes tend to curl up.

If it makes you feel any better, she probably ended up receiving only about $150,000. Standard contingency fee for an attorney is 40% which would be 100 grand. Plus what Peter Norris pointed out would apply as well, ie lost reputation networks, career, etc. No other college would hire her when there’s so much video evidence of her bizarre and appalling behavior. She also never made tenure which means she never published anything, except her award winning films that is, lol.

Nobody has more free speech than anyone else. KZfaq lets most anyone babble. Freedom of speech does not mean that you can compel others to listen and agree. No, I am not going to overlook her behavior. As a well paid black professor, she was a heck of a lot more privileged than me. I don't think she can match my background for a difficult starting point. What Lowe doesn't understand is Context. In the Classroom, she is the Teacher/Professor/Instructor. So in the Context of the Classroom, SHE is the Power. So in the Classroom, AS THE POWER, if she is bigoted towards a Race... then that is indeed Racist by HER DEFINITION of Racism.

Yep...that's one of the big problems of the "*-ism = prejudice+power" definition. It offers no objective criteria to determine in which scope one ought to measure the power imbalance that may exist. I just happened to be reading this the other day, and was struck at the time by its prescience regarding intersectionality (it was written in the 1960s). But the images of Naima Lowe really drove home that part about the "world of hate". “ Because the persecuting majority is vile, says the liberal, therefore the persecuted minority must be stainlessly pure...What's to prevent the bad from being persecuted by the worse? Did all the Christian victims on the arena have to be saints? ...A minority has its own kind of aggression. It absolutely dares the majority to attack it. It hates the majority - not without a cause, I grant you. It even hates the other minorities - because all minorities are in competition; each one proclaims that its sufferings are the worst and its wrongs are the blackest. And the more they all hate, and the more they're all persecuted, the nastier they become! Do you think it makes people nasty to be loved? You know it doesn’t! Then why should it make them nice to be loathed? While you’re being persecuted, you hate what’s happening to you, you hate the people who are making it happen; you’re in a world of hate. Why, you wouldn’t recognize love if you met it! You’d suspect love! You’d think there was something behind it-some motive-some trick.” ― Christopher Isherwood, A Single Man

Isherwood was incredible. Few people today know that his semiautobiographical "Goodbye To Berlin" inspired the 1972 film "Cabaret." In fact, because of PC culture that continues to kill the arts and sneer at anything that isn't drenched in this "Presentism" philosophy, few know about the film. A dangerous dogma has taken over academia and we are all responsible for it to some degree.

@@jungatheart6359 I should clarify. It's a generational issue. Unless Millenials and others who were born after 1980 either love classic films or were exposed to them via parental interest, the ones I have had discussions with are more interested in the current "auto-tune" pop stars like Taylor Swift or Arianna Grande. They have no idea who Liza Minelli or Judy Garland are. They also know nothing of world history even as recent as the 20th century. They do however remember watching the "Cartoon Channel" on cable TV as a child. I am not exaggerating. This is the nightmare my generation created. In an illfated and narcissistic attempt to create a more peaceful world, we thwarted the social values of our parent's generation and kept future youth an eternal "Tabula Rasa". A generation where the only things they know are given to them through corporate owned technology much like the prediction of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" which becomes increasingly accurate with each passing day!

So does this mean that women, as an overly protected, and hyper-sensitive class, and who also have more rights and privileges than men, does this mean, as a man, I should be allowed to (verbally) attack and start defaming women as a whole simply because women are the other, and especially since as a male, anything done from a female viewpoint isn't going to represent me in the slightest bit. In short, as part of a marginalized group whose humanity is underrepresented, and whose group is only used as a boogeyman, and a scapegoat for when things go wrong, it would definitely appear to me that a woman's lose is my gain. Don't be getting mad at me: I'm just putting what this crazy woman has to say into practice, and the fact that it's being used against her isn't my fault, because I don't make the rules, I just exploit them for my benefit and amusement. #femaletears #femininityohsofrail #killallwomen

Naima Lowe seems to suffer from self-induced hysteria. Ben, have you seen studies suggesting that blacks don't have a higher rate of hypertension because of genetic predisposition, but rather because of the stress of the racism they have to constantly face? Any time I've seen footage taken at Evergreen, I get anxiety. The campus seems like it is a dangerous place to be white. That's the case even if you're a hardcore liberal white without a shred of racism in your body.

Exactly! I don't care if someone is black or white... I care if they're nice to be around, and do things I like doing. Speaking hypocritically is a real fast way to get me offside, and there's nothing more hypocritical than a person declaring someone to be racist due to their skin.

I like the way Benjamin presents his vids, like the series of edits one might choose to do on a draft of a blog post that was written in bits across a period of time. At first, I thought that it was haphazard and unrefined. But, on inspection, it IS unrefined in the same way as the history of edits would show of a FB post or other app that permitted a reader to peer into the depth of what was going on in the writer's mind at the times of writing/or whatever. That's just exactly it for me with Benjamin's vids. They are raw, edited, but show the emotions, the nuances, even the prejudices he had at the time he first wrote or spoke or recorded each bit. This vid is no different from many I have read of his work but it's the decider that made me subscribe.

hate attracts hate. bitterness atracts bitterness. misery loves its own company. theres some truth to the law of attraction. we are magnets to what we think, breath, say and do. Why are new students still heading for this school. By the time they graduate the schools death spiral will have effectively rendered their diplomas useless. As an employer I would not want to hire any of the potentially problematic students with Evergreen on their resume.

@condew6103
@condew6103 5 жыл бұрын
With regard to the Democratic party, I wonder how many more double-downs it will take to make it implode. The #METOO ostricisation of Senator Al Franken without due process was bad, but they doubled down on it in their shameful treatment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Same tactic, they got 3 women to make accusations, but Brett got a hearing, and the accusations were investigated, and all three women proved to be not credible. Remember when nobody made an accusation unless they had pretty good evidence to back it up? Good times.
