It’s a real shame we can’t stand side by side anymore. We where an example for the whole country.

I saw this match "live" from the Finnish television broadcast. In those times they used to show approximately 10 English First Division League games per season. I had been an Evertonian from the beginning of the 1970's, and still am, of course. Once a Blue, always a Blue! This was Alan Harper's "claim to fame" game! 🤗

Brilliant work from Craig Johnston for rush's goal. These were the days before Everton reached their slick passing heights but clearly trying to piece it all together. No bigger test than Liverpool though. Michael Robinson causing trouble

Being a Celtic fan I couldn't stand Souness, but he was honestly one of the best midfielders in the world.

Only Liverpool could buy players from teams like Ayr United and Patrick thistle, and turn them into superstars.

14:06 Didn't see much wrong with Robinson's challenge for the ball, entitled to go for it IMO. Bailey's reaction OTT.

Yeah, cause Liverpool never got them. Like 77 cup semi final, three weeks after this game when Alan Hansen punched the ball off the line. The derby when Alan Kennedy pulled [can't remember who] down as he about to tap into an empty net. I could go on.

@@TheGiantKillers Haha! You are a bitter blue. It even comes over in your text. You blues are hilarious in how you live in the past blaming everybody but yourselves for your team being terrible for decades.
