Ones I heard are: a bucket of steam, headlight fluid and a skyhook... Funny thing about the last one! Some guy actually managed to find a company that sold something called a "skyhook" it was a machine worth multiple grand! So, of course the guy put it on the company account, and the boss didn't even blame the apprentice, just the nucklebags who asked him to

Another good gag I heard was from a mechanic shop. This guy would dump all the bolts into a single bucket instead of keeping them organized as he took the assembly apart. So his buddies one day put some extra random bolts in there to make it look like he missed a step putting it back together. Apparently the guy freaked out and almost took everything apart again before they let him in on it.

@Jesus Gonzalez might focus on forgivness and cooperation. Notice that as messed up as bigots are, they get their opportunity to rebound just like anyone. So either you defuse the problem before hand, or you add fule until they return to prominence there by risking your own existamce.... Like I support my undocumented nieghbors taking refuge here in the states, but if they constantly target me with petty ethnocentric crap, then they loose my support. ... naturaly Americans have fewer of those problems because of generations of successfull integration, lending to further cooperation. Is it that way down under? If not, then make a little more effort. Sorry that its hard. But there are serios consiquences to failure. Maybe a robbery, maybe car jacking, maybe an eviction or deportation, maybe violence. Figured Id reach out... try not to be danm racist.
@blodknut5595
@blodknut5595 2 жыл бұрын
@Jesus Gonzalez about 1 in 14 apprentices where Indigenous Australians in 2019-2020- and that covers the wide range of trades from hair dressing to plumbing to horticulture and more. So pretty much only a few young Indigenous Australians enter the building trades. There are lots of reasons for this but central is how colonisation affected First Peoples in Australia. Jesus, it’s generally not accepted as appropriate to use ‘aborigines’ when referring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people. Chiefly as that word has some strong connections to historically racist attitudes. It would be up there with the “N” word to describe Afro-Americans in the USA. What you miss is that Garn posts videos of comedic observations on suburban Australian life. Accordingly it uses exaggeration and generalisations for effect. It is not to be understood as a true representation or literal depictions. Just like my above post was an exaggerated depiction of the goings on at Trade Colleges. Similarly, your building experience as you describe can’t be used as a broad representation of work productivity differences among all workers in the USA - it’s merely your anecdotal experience. So “Every Apprentice” is to not to be taken literally like you seem to have done. What you have done, Jesus, is to miss the self-deprecating humour that Aussie’s regularly use. What you have done is to act like a wowser- which is a particular Kiwi and Aussie slang word. Perhaps look up it’s definition.

Apprentice said “mate I still need that long weight?”, the boss replied “ yeah mate I’ll just be one sec and I’ll get it” Another 5 minutes went by and the boss came past. The apprentice called out to him again “sorry mate I’m still waiting for you to get me a long weight?” The boss said “ well do you think you’ve waited long enough yet? “ Apprentice went back empty handed to his boss and everyone in there was in stitches saying “so you finally worked it out?” 😂😂😂
