The trope I _can_ get enough of is when character A is explaining to character B why they believe character C is guilty of something. It almost always follows this pattern: A: "I think C is the one behind this." B: "That's ridiculous! How could you even think that?" A: "He barely ate anything yesterday." B: "What does that prove? If you're trying to convince me that C is doing this, it's gonna take more than--" A: "That's not all. I was outside his room last night and I heard someone snoring." B: "Lots of people snore. If you're trying to convince me that C is doing this, it's gonna take more than--" A: "He was doing laundry this morning." B: "It's his turn on the chore wheel! If you're trying to convince me that C is doing this, it's gonna take more than--" A: "Also I saw him doing the thing and I have a well-lit 4K video of him doing the thing." B: "We have to stop him!" Character A always sorts the evidence by convincingness, in ascending order. Dude, use descending!
