@@abeltesfaye_ Some in the staff were former DCC cheerleaders themselves so they DO in fact know what it takes. Blaming things on "jealousy" is low hanging fruit. Everyone gets older, so to imply "jealousy" is not only absurd, but poor. The coaches and staff who select these women are trying to maintain the image of the DCC brand. Appearance is part of that brand. If someone doesn't fit the image, they don't stay.....it's pretty simple and NO ONE is forcing anyone to become a DCC. It's the DCC brand, and they can decide everything that goes with that, from talent, to appearance to intelligence to personality, because those ladies will be representing that brand.. No one else gets to decide that but them.

@@chocolatcats First off, don't call me Vicky. Second, the routines from when Dayton's mum was a DCC to the ones the ladies do now are different. Getting lessons ahead of time would have given Dayton a very unfair advantage over the other ladies.

Unfair? No. Many of them go see Kitty Carter and Kitty knows E X A C T L Y what to tell each girl to work on to make it. I get the feeling Dayton didn’t want this and that the only reason she tried out was bc she’s a legacy. Her mom is the assistant choreographer. D could have had each routine nailed down if she wanted.

I agree, but the women who try out understand that it's ultimately a beauty pageant, not a talent show. I've mentioned this before, but I've watched this show from the beginning. I've seen good dancers who maybe didn't look the absolute best in the uniform kicked out of training camp in favor of less talented dancers who were, in their opinion, better looking. Their rationale is, they can make you a better dancer, but they can't make you pretty and pretty is the deciding factor. It absolutely sucks, but it's the same for every NFL cheerleading squad, not just this one. When you're putting them out there to dance at midfield in what is essentially underwear and go-go boots, what do you expect?

These girls are not naturally skinny they are struggling to maintain an "image". This team is not diverse in size at all. I hate all the pressure put on women .

Again, no one is forcing them and everyone knows what the standard is. Expecting the organization to change for the applicant is absurd, life doesn't work like that.

The uniform is custom to their individual bodies. So when a girl doesn’t fit her uniform anymore she gets cut. It’s happened on the show

The potential for money comes after their time with the DCC. Many open dance studios and can advertise "former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader". With the people they meet they can network. Further, these ladies get to fulfill a dream of dancing in an elite group....it's not about the money.

They aren't trying to build up anyone's confidence, they need to have that going in. They are hired to dance, entertain, and represent the Dallas Cowboys organization....period. It's not a self esteem seminar. They DCC is looking for a particular type, and appearance IS a HUGE part of that. No one is forcing them. They sign up for it all on their own knowing what the standards are going in.

Did you know that they recently settled the lawsuit over the pay? I think they're making $22/hour and $400 per appearance or somewhere close to that amount due to the lawsuit. I was reading the summary judgement last week and although I've always loved watching the DCC organization, I also had the same thought- why, during the 20+ years of running this program, did the ladies not think to advocate for better pay for these talented women before this suit?

@@antwonnyy you're right, I know she doesn't determine pay rates, which is why I commented about advocating for this group she directs due to her position and influence. If you look at comments for any DCC vlogs, you can see that the pay issue is mentioned frequently, but they have yet to address this publicly.

@@smithsmith5290 A cheerleader is under contract . A contract that will force them to quit if they want to bring a suit. Kudos to the DCC who could not perform due to injury , would not take a settlement for herself but for all the cheerleaders.

Yep, and very few short guys will play in the NBA. Big guys will never be jockey's in the Kentucky Derby. Dwarfs (little people) will never play in the NFL..... If it's not in the cards, it's just not. Appearance is a HUGE part of it along with many other things. The DCC is looking for people who fit the mold they have for their organization....they set the standards, because it's their organization. There are companies/organizations who don't want people with visible tattoos. It's their company/organization so they get to decide the traits of those who wear their uniform. Life can be harsh, but it is, what it is.

I've read several of your comments and they are pretty much all negative towards the DCC, and their process. Now you're accusing them of "playing favorites"??? Do you think maybe the former DCC's who have daughters have told them what to expect so they were better prepared? You know, just like a medical doctor would tell their son or daughter what to expect in med school? I've watched a couple of the full seasons of the DCC and if I remember correctly, there are daughters of former DCC's who've not made it, or have been cut. If these programs upset you so much, why watch them? Every world famous organization have standards and the DCC is no different. The judges aren't going to sacrifice the DCC brand for nepotism, it means too much to them. The candidates either meet the standards in place or they don't.

Cup sizes are relative to the band size. A 36 D is 2 cup sizes bigger than a 32 D (the letter represents a ratio). Her rib cage is so narrow it's likely she's a 32 DD or even a 30 DD, which would be a 34 C (ish)

Um... no The number represents the band size, the letter represents the number of inches larger than the band size. DD = 5 inches. Kellie is a believable DD but there's no way Jinelle's bust is 5 inches.

They get cut if they dont look good in the uniform. Image is part of this job. Like any job it has its requirements.

Ar P I would normally agree, except the difference in the girls they cut is so subtle. The average person is not going to notice that a girl’s waist is 1 inch too large when she’s dancing 100 meters away. Nobody gets so up close they way they do during fittings.

Marina Marina one inch to may mean the uniform doesn’t fit appropriately. Thats why they do the bend over test. So the bum crack doesn’t show when bending over during the routine. An extra inch may cause that. Everything has its purpose.

@@arp5546 I get that, but they are cut for the smallest of things. A uniform not fitting isn't and shouldn't be on the girl, not a single one of them is out of shape or overweight and they use a tailor so she should easily be able to sort that "inch" out, I can only imagine how awful it would be to know you were cut from the group not because of lack of talent, but because the uniform couldn't be fit to your body in the way they liked.. these girls are already put through the ringer, but with this it isnt even something they can improve on, what are they going to do? Cut that bit of waist off or shorten their torso? That is what my problem is, it's making a girl feel like a failure because of something she literally cannot change without hacking bits of herself off. I'm sure they would much rather be cut from the team because the lost an egg and spoon race than over this.

Gemma Cook yeah but they know what they are signing up for. So if they had a problem with the selection process they wouldn’t apply but they do. Its the same with any Hollywood related career, you get cut for the simplest things. Those who can’t handle that should seek another route.
