The fact that he hasn’t shot his firearms means 1 of 2 things he either uses extremely good de escalation techniques or runs away from every situation

It is strongly eluded to in this video that this guy does not take the dangerous calls. He prefers low level ones in between handing out tickets. I think he told Chen during their time together that he has a wife and kids at home and is scared of being taken from them.

I mean from a real life perspective, he sounds like a normal cop, most have never fired their weapons in their entire careers because cops don’t get into shootouts as much as you think, if none at all

Eh I kinda wish they didn’t use music when doing pursuit scenes. Completely eliminates the “edge of your seat” type feeling you get when watching Live PD or Southland (aka the Best Cop Drama Ever). The music waters the suspense down so hard.

They're saying "Boot." It's a slang term for a rookie cop. It comes from the military, means one who had just finished boot camp.

Just saying...I would prefer a TO thats disciplinary, helps you become a better officer. You'll thank them one day when you become a TO (or higher rank). This way each offspring will become better and better...

No. Bradford isn't about "discipline". He uses that as an excuse to be abusive. Too bad the show justifies all his unacceptable behaviours instead of developing his character OUT of that terrible attitude. It's a wasted opportunity for great character growth in a narrative sense and since the show wants to be preachy at least it should give a good example with Bradford being punished for it and make him better.

This was an insulting episode, to be honest. Most cops are like "the slug", never have to use their weapons, and spend their time writing tickets or walking through communities. So "allergic to real police work", is more "does the boring stuff I don't like".

If you listen carefully you can hear the conversation within the two cops and Bradford mentions the mac and cheesse and they laugh. It's just an act. In other part of the episode Wrigley called cops like Chen and Bradford adrenaline's adicts, when he talks about "coming back home with his family". He's not shy saying her "hey you almost died, your TO was shot and you want more". The conversation within Bradford and Wrighley it was interesting i don't understand why the music is so loud. Because yes, the both fool her, and that's the reason she's angry with Bradford.
