@@simple-commentator-not-rea7345 I think that was Spike and Rarity. Spike was actually a kid, maybe 10, older, younger, who knows, and Rarity was in her teenage age. But yeah, too old and too young for each other.

@@dreamguardian8320 Rarity isn't a teenager I don't think, I'm pretty sure she's in her 20's. And it wasn't a mutual thing, either. Spike just had a crush on Rarity, and I don't think it's shown they're ever together. In fact, I'm pretty sure Rarity rejects him quite a bit.

8:39 they're thumbs, but they're not opposable thumbs. I had a cat that carried the mutation, she had kittens before we were able to get her fixed. It's really just extra claws for them to scratch you with, not a door opening level game changer. Particularly fun when the kittens are in that stage where they play Sir Edmund Hilary and use your leg as Everest.

That’s still selfishness. She wants to sacrifice anything and everything just so a girl can have a chance at a family. Which, by the way, she didn’t even help at all. She basically fucked up the Land of Luck, put it back together, and still achieved nothing. Hazel got the family normally, Sam did absolutely nothing to help her.

This is really just a nitpick but the concept of "official luck" always sort of falters because if you're "lucky" enough to guarantee results is that even luck anymore? Isn't it more like just magic that bends reality to your desires? There's no risk or odds involved so I don't think I'd call myself lucky if I hit 100% accuracy on blind shots.

Well, in reality luck is just an abstract concept that describes when random variables seemingly line up for you more or less than other people. OR, there is an unknown variable that is affecting your chances and therefore making you appear to be lucky. But as a superstition/consept, luck does basically describe a supernatural force that can favor people. So by some interpretations, luck can work as a force of magic. Therefore you can be "super lucky" and have the best possible outcome 100% of the time

I watched a review of this movie a few months ago. When I saw the setup of an older, orphaned girl with some magical cat in the real world, I was hooked. Then they transported to some generic Disney type world with wacky dragons and leprechauns and my interest dropped to 0% just like that.

Although the lore of all his problems being due to lack of sleep works for the story, it's too simplified Without that context though it works so well in visually portraying the general exhaustion felt by many with those lives. The film itself is fun and I like it a lot, but in order to be what it is, it can't go much deeper which is a shame

Also on 0:48 , I'm no Green screen expert but even though the leprechaun hat isn't the same exact green shade with the green screen, wouldn't it still get affected later during the editing of whatever they're even recording?

No. The green screen is rotoscoped out by hand. There isn't a button you press to magically get rid of the green screen. It's just because green is easier to see, so you can paint out the green by hand.

The saddest thing about this movie is me knowing foster care will hide these benfits from kids. Housing, help getting a job, life skills, etc. When you are a child you need people to look out for you. It is not your fault that some cruel person chose to not tell you at 18 you have benefits. So many homeless kids that aged out of foster care. 4:33 DUDE someone was doing this the other day, (busy 50 mph road) and I was like wtaf? Sure, no one is driving in the gutter... but really?

and it all depends where you live too. i know some places give kids 0 support when they age out and they're just thrown to the wolves. i live in Ontario and get a monthly income from our equivalent of CPS but we don't get housing or anything like that

this whole movie looks like if one of those mobile game ads on Facebook tried copying the Disney formula. and as much as I want to give the animators props for putting actual effort into their work, the faux-Disney aesthetic feels more like it was born out of spite than genuine talent, considering who helped produce this movie...
