I find that a good compromise between playing range and being able to help contribute towards pushing points lies in units such as Imperial Arqs. and Flamethrowers.

Have you tried the imperial archers on the bottom line yet? They are my current favourite unit. Got a six hero kill game with them the other day! They just chop up heroes.

16:40 your archer is shooting at the wall. After using attack area order, they will continue shooting even if they don't hit anything. One tip is to press V so they will switch back to only attack visible target

A good thing to do when attacking with archers is to put them on either the inner right or left siege tower and then shoot down onto all the stuff in A, i do it evey time, I sometimes even use falconetti gunners which kill everything

As long as you have namkhans, you can win everything!

I'd use rattan marksmen - namkhan archers - imperial archers - black dragon archers I'd go rattan marksmen with fire bolts as opener (great against those 40-100 leadership cost units at the start and surprisingly good at shooting targets on walls) and then follow that with the black dragon archers follwed by either nahmkhans or imperials towards the end of the match depending on the situation. If you're lucky the rattan marksmen survive long enough and you don't have to use the black dragon archers

I suppose everyone has their own playstyle. With archers you are simply the support-archetype. You don't do much objective work youself, but you make the work of frontline playsers that much easier, especially if you can counter "breakwater" units that stop advances dead in their tracks (such as the flamethrowers).

I am ass at being melee hero with frontline melee units, and so I play as double blade with most of my units being ranged. Althoug I love poisonous ratan pikes so I take them anyway.

16:15- would accualy go for the flames, if you use youre second horse ability and dismout+warlods greeting you could get them

Namkans and Longbows. The former being great as a frontline support and the latter as a counter to the same kind of support. THat's why I try to have at least one of them in all my setups.

Have you done a video on falconetti gunners? I know ive seen you play falcos before,but i tried to rewatch it today and i couldnt find it.

As long as not 10 out of 15 players have ranged units you should be fine, too bad most people don't really look at what their teammates are bringing.

I'd probably not use the longbows mate, they're great if you're just going to afk them at max range and fire onto a point, but when it actually comes to killing power they're quite... well... shit. The imperial archers offer great range and are by far the superior unit when it comes to actively killing the enemy. I spent a lot of my time only using ranged units and what I've found is that longbows are not really a decisive unit, they're more a purely support unit whose main purpose is to soften up the enemy over a very long period of time - the point being they're very hit or miss when brought into random battles, since if your teammates aren't up to the task, then bringing a more burst focused ranged unit would've been way more beneficial! There's also the issue that everything longbows do, falconettis do better! Generally speaking I would rank archer units like this namkhan, imperial, longbow, fire archer and all the other ones are not really worth bringing.

I literally one trick the longbow and only use muskets and archer units and I can say that it is definitely quite easy to win with only archers

What are your computer specs? the game runs so smooth on ur pc! I run the rx 570 8gb and the ryzen 5 3400g and 8gb ram and it stutters a lot and i stay between 25-40 fps during siege battles or any other battles :

anyone can tell me how did he send his archers to get arrows @ 6:38 ? When my archers are out of arrows they switch to melee, and before i realzie i lose some units. Is there specific command or can i set them on auto replenish?

i dont rly think you can win a siege with archers, as you said you cant push well and if 5 of your teammates get 2 heroic archers in it just wont work out. archers are good as a filler imo.

If your playing archers your playing the game wrong. I can't stand seeing EU players spamming out green / blue archers all game when a couple shield walls or cav units would have won us the point / game instead. NA brings the occasional range but most seem well aware that there better off bringing melee units to push or hold objectives.
