My dad’s first luxury car was a 190D in the exact same color(Smokey silver). He loved it so much that he brought it when we moved from UK to Kochi in the 90s when these were rare. It was left hand drive and I’m sure it’s still being driven somewhere around Kerala. This was my first love and I cried so much when my dad had to let it go and I was really young. I remember being wowed by the single wiper blade motion, the headlight wipers and the beautiful buttons of the centre console. It had a distinct old leather smell that I loved. This car will always have a special place in my heart. A few years later we got the pre-facelift C200 CDI elegance with the amoeba headlights which I remember more than the 190. Also had the distinct leather smell, a beautiful 6 CD changer with a catalogue in the glovebox where you manually load the CDs in different slots, automatic rear window sim shade that would rise with the press of a button, an amazing audio system at the time. Also loved how the key fob looked. The lights were extremely cool designs especially the taillights. Unfortunately got into an accident which destroyed most of the front end. I asked dad to replace to clear lens headlights which really changed the whole look making it really modern from the previous.

In the c class video, was expecting you guys to do a walk around the lineup. Now you guys dedicated a whole episode to that!!!! My fav. The pre-FL W204 with the traditional grille. 😍 Though the W205 300d is kinda my dream future purchase.
