Hot take: web of shadows is still my favorite web swinging. It nailed momentum and really made you feel like you were super high in the air. The buildings all felt way taller than in the PS4 game, which was also fun and nailed the flow of swinging and parkour

Nice that people talk about this game. I used to play Web of Shadows ALL THE TIME. I love the fact that you swing really really fast, you can get to your destination quicker. And the combat... It was beautiful

Web of Shadows is way underrated, probably my favorite Spider-Man game (so sad it’s not available on PS4). Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing 2 were my childhood heroes.

Web if shadows swinging was amazing! But people seem to forget how amazing the combos felt in that game and the free transition from the symbiote suit was crazy which resulted in even CRAZIER combos!

@@VegetaLF7 If that was indeed the intention, then the PS4 game failed in that regard. While obviously far more flashy and visually pleasing, the PS4 game's swinging isn't nearly as physics-based and skill-based as Spider-Man 2's swinging and therefore not nearly as satisfying.

Man I'm getting old. I remember spiderman from the 80s as a little boy. And played through Spiderman (2000) multiple times. Wasn't just a great spidey game, was an amazing game on its own for its time.

@@fantie7536 It's not an "opinion" it's an objective fact whether you agree with it or not don't matter. You might prefer Spiderman web of shadows which is fine but that doesn't negate the fact that it was way clunkier than Spiderman 3. Even ultimate Spider-Man was more polished than WoS.

If you want realism, you go for Spider-Man 2 (PS2/GC/Xbox). But in my opinion, Web of Shadows (PC/PS3/X360/Wii) has the most fun web swinging mechanics. Spider-Man 3 (PC/PS3/X360) has a great Web-Zip because of how fast it goes. Ultimate Spider-Man is also worth mentioning. This is considering you have the necessary upgrades to speed up, not necessarily to the max.

The one thing I hate about Web of Shadows that anybody can agree with me with is that once you beat the game there really was no freeroam mode...so youd have to just swing around during mission points

The return of the sinister six(1992) (at that time doesn't know the name) was a game which me and brother used to play lot of times in our summer vacations!!😌 Thank u so much the uploader to meet me my childhood again! { And as shattered dimensions i support that a jungle theme in any future spiderman movie would be so so better, till yet in any, we hadn't seen like that, let's hope} ✨

Spider-man 2 might just be the greatest spider-man game of all time as well as the greatest movie tie-in game ever. Ultimate spider-man is also a really really good game.

@@vinicius100470 Nah, Spider-Man PS4 is still inferior to Spider-Man 2 in a number of key ways. For instance, the swinging in the PS4 games isn't nearly as physics-based as it was in Spider-Man 2, and the combat system in the PS4 games, despite being far more detailed, is highly automatic and scripted while Spider-Man 2's conventional system gave the player more control by requiring them to manually land each individual hit.

I'm just glad Insomniac really created their original story and created 2 greatest Spiderman games ever, i hope they can have their own universe and really work to prioririze the fans, not the money, no matter how many players and income they got. Web of shadows combat was on another level, it had so much potential to be a good spiderman game. But I still remember buying it two days after it launched and the amount of bug and lag in that game was annoying as hell. Ultimate spiderman deserve a remake.

In my opinion I didn’t really like the web swinging in spiderman 2, the camera was so far from him that it made him very hard to see, it also seemed like he kind of camouflaged in the sky.

Yeah but trust me.. trying to master it is a lot of fun! (I own it and play it to this date). It’s so responsive!! I also own the PS4 one but I find more satisfying the one of the ps2.. the first 10 hours are better in the PS4 one but after a while it gets boring you know.. the same doesn’t go for the ps2 which the longest it gets played, the cooler it gets
