Tommy is one of my favorite guest characters of all time played with such care and sympathy by John Kane. Good to see that he's still alive and kicking.

I interviewed John for this feature in his lovely retirement home in Puissalicon, France. I can't believe it's already two years ago (September 2010). He and his wife Alison were delightful and very hospitable, my trip there was one of my most enjoyable times working on the Dr Who DVD range.

@edstradling I greatly appreciate your efforts. JOHN KANE REMEMBERS was a superb documentary, as were THE FINAL CURTAIN and DIRECTING DOCTOR WHO WITH BARRY LETTS on the PLANET OF THE SPIDERS DVD. I now have all the "Sarah Jane Era" classic WHO stories on DVD, except for TERROR OF THE ZYGONS, which I am impatiently awaiting the release of. Please pass along to the rest of the crew how much this American fan appreciates all your efforts on these SUPERB WHO DVD's.
