I own the 2021 Titan pro 4X and it is just a wonderful truck. It's far superior to any of the big 3 garbage out there. People get all caught up in the Ram and the giant screen, ok whatever. Get back to me when your out of warranty and that TV breaks. Titans ride awesome on road and off road and will be far more reliable then all trucks except maybe the Tundra but still I picked the Titan. Yes it's American made. Ram --Fiat owned Most Chevy Silverados made in mexico-- no thank you Fords-- their quality has become crap.

I had a 2004 Nissan Titan LE with 270,000 miles on it when I sold it in 2019. The main reason I sold it was the slight rust in the wheel flairs and storage box. The interior was top notch with the seating, leg room and amenities. The Titan is just as long lasting and tight as the Tundra.

I love my 2019 Titan XD. Great tow vehicle for our 27 foot bunk house. The Tundra is also a great truck. People should just drive what the like without bashing the other trucks to feel better about their choice. I'm glad some people realize there is life out there outside the big 3.

I would have never considered or thought the Nissan would compare to the Toyota, but my son and a friend have Titans that work and both have well over 200k and have been great. They have not reported on curb jumping at Starbucks, but both say the Nissan is tough. In the used market Nissan is a much cheaper truck to buy. Toyota is great, but your going to pay for the name. Owned a 21 tundra sr5 with the leather package. Currently own a 21 Titan Pro 4x baja storm. Besides the heavy steering at low speeds in the titan, there is not one thing I prefer about the tundra. I had a leather seat option on the tundra and they were by far the worst seats I have owned in a vehicle, hard as a rock. The ride quality was extremely harsh as well. The Titan zero gravity seats are great, the ride is behind Ram but pretty good, surprised about your jittery ride opinion as i take a turn on the way home every day with quick bumps and it stays much more planted than either my tundra or f150s did. I am hoping the titan holds up well, I know the Tundra 5.7 has cam tower leaks which are fairly costly to repair but is other wise pretty bullet proof. So far the nissan is my favorite full sized truck I have owned.

Last Fall 2020 I was evaluating the 2021 Ram Rebel, 2021 F-150 XLT, and the 2021 Nissan Titan Pro4x. After several test drives and scouring dealerships all over the SE I ended up going with the Titan and haven't regretted my decision once. The options for these trucks are just as good or better than some of the competitors and the price and warranty are just right. Love the V8 power over the Ecoboost too. I tried to compare it with a Tundra, but I couldn't find one equipped how I wanted and the interior is pretty dated.

I tow with it, I go outdoors with it, go off-roading with it, and I drive it as a daily driver. No matter what anyone says, there is a clear reason why it has the highest resale value. And as for the Michelin(LTX/AT2's 275/65/R18) tires on the Tundra they are very nice ....and for anyone living in Ohio I have a set that I took off my 2020 Tundra @7900 miles that I'm selling for a good price. Keep in mind these tires are $260 per tire now. They perform well in everything except thick mud....I just wanted larger tires on my Tundra. BTW there is a bad truck these days....The GM trucks are something I would not take a chance on with all the problems they've been having with their V-8's across the board....one even broke down with 72 miles on the odometer before needing major engine work....the guy didn't even get a day of driving out of it.

The bottom line is Toyota has not done enough updates on the current Tundra and it's very disappointing because it was a very capable truck in 2014 but yet they have not kept up with the Titan along with the other trucks in the marketplace and the new tundra that's coming out I think is going to turn away traditional Tundra buyers and more of them will go towards a Nissan Titan or Ford F-150 especially with the fact that they're no longer offering a V8 engine.

I had a Titan 5.6,it was a good truck but did give me a few issues over the 4 years I had it,I now have a Tundra and in my opinion the build quility on the Toyota is on another level in comparison. As far as power,the Titan seemed a little quicker of the line,but the Tundra feels stronger after about 20 mph or so, the Titan seemed to have a sportier feel in handling if that makes sense for a heavy truck. Fuel use is about the same for me. I liked the Titan while I had it,but after having both I do like my antique Tundra better,it just fits me better than any truck I have owned,and I have owned/own,Ford,Chevy, Dodge as well,and I have driven the new ram 5.7 e torque and a new trail boss 5.3,as well as a ford with the 5.0. I actually had to make this choice earlier this year. I went with a 2021 tundra TRD pro double cab because of the reliability. The 5.6 L V8 that Nissan makes us had some pretty expensive problems in the past and I don’t believe they resolve them. With that brand new transmission who knows how reliable that will be. We know how well Nissan has made transmissions of the last 15 years.
@cutsautoam2 жыл бұрын
The new 9 speed is from Mercedes Benz and it’s really reliable. Plus the 5.6 is a “bulletproof “ engine like all the trucks have their own version of that (T 5.7, F 5.0, C 5.3, R 5.7) The thing I don’t like about the tundra is the look hasn’t changed much at all in the last 15 years, especially the interior. It needs an update bad.
@SuperSnakePlissken2 жыл бұрын
@@cutsautoam My experience with the 5.6L V8 long term is they eat catalytic converters which if not caught soon enough sends dust up into the pistons destroying the engine. These motors eat fuel pumps and the cooling system is super cheap and by 150,000 you will have a 100% chance of having to replace the entire cooling system (radiator). Drive train issues have been a big problem too. The new transmission I no nothing about.
@jimeagle11552 жыл бұрын
@@SuperSnakePlissken I scoured the internet looking and can't seem to find anyone backing up your claims of issues with the Nissan 5.6 l V8, not saying you're wrong just saying you're definitely in a minority. Everything else I've seen shows it to be an extremely reliable engine. I'm not sold on the new 9-speed transmission either, It's made by Jatco which makes me a little nervous as Nissan's Achilles heel is those CVT transmissions that keep giving problems all made by Jatco. The seven speed transmission they were using in the Titans up until recently is made by Aisin which is shown to be an extremely dependable transmission. Honestly I just wish Nissan would cut off relations with Jatco and go strictly with Aisin transmissions like Toyota uses.. it would put them right up on par with Honda and Toyota in the Japanese vehicle market. And definitely would be worth the added expense.
@SuperSnakePlissken2 жыл бұрын
@@jimeagle1155 Not sure how good your internet searching skills are but in less than 8.4 seconds I was able to find a nice list of them. Those issues are as follows. 1.) Exhaust manifold cracking. 2.) Timing Chain issues 3.) Valve Cover oil leaks 4.) Fuel pump problems That's your top 4 on the motor. The Nissan Armada/Titan are plagued with problems from brakes being the worst in the business to transmission issues and all kinds of issues with the cabin. If you cannot find those I encourage you to go on youtube and learn basic google searches. Good luck!

@@MeynMotorGroup Oh ok glad you had no flooding it made the news over here about the flooding in North Carolina with 60 dead and although you posted which meant you were ok didn't mean you might not have been impacted and was a bit worried about you all, and things are pretty good over here buddy we're starting to get some warmer weather after a pretty chilly winter this year.

@@Excalabur50 Oh yes there was some devastating flooding in the west on NC in a place called Asheville. That got pretty bad really feel for the people out there. And ok glad you guys are getting some nicer weather in Australia we are about to head into fall soon then winter can be a mixed bag sometimes its 70 and sometimes it can be -5 so we will see what the weather is like this year. Glad to hear you're well my friend.

The one thing about car reviews on YT is everybody has there own opinion and you can't trust any of them.
@MeynMotorGroup2 жыл бұрын
Then why do you watch them?

@@MeynMotorGroup I thought you might ask. It gives me a general idea of the vehicles I'm interested in. Here's the problem--you say the Nissan feel "obtusely large" ( 4:38 ). Here's a video of a two guys with a totally different opinion. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qtRxd9mYkt7Yg6c.html --skip to 5:40.

Yea everyone and there mother is doing car reviews right now. And there's so much junk now on the internet. I agree with none of these people and I also don't agree with the spec sheet obsessed mainstream review outlets like car and driver and motor trend. It is for this reason that I started to do this car review thing on my own. Only thing I can tell you is watch car reviews on the vehicle that you currently own and whoever shares the same thoughts on logic as you on that car you should watch and trust them.

@@MeynMotorGroup As I said, I watch reviews based on products I'm interested in. Whether it be cars, smartphones, tools, etc., I watch them all with a grain of salt. Hey, did you know KZfaq has emojis now? Peace 😀✌

Light steering in dangerous. It is not desirable. Toyota costs too much. They all do but Toyota tax needs repealing.

Honestly that titan looks way better than the tundra but I'm not a fan of the color.. it's not quite shit colored but somehow still reminds me of something I'd see in a bathroom.. 🤷🏾♂️

Oh man not a fan of the Baja Storm? People go crazy for that color but yea I know what you mean 😅😂 I def do think the Titan looks better especially in this Pro 4x trim and I like that little bar in the back even if it costs a grand

@@MeynMotorGroup yea man idk it gets worse the longer I look at it 🤣. On a side note, I'm getting the LS back today. Dealer said they had to drain the tank twice and drive it 50 miles to get it running back to normal.. I'm afraid to out Costco gas in it again.. but I need to know if it was really the cause! Lol
@MeynMotorGroup3 жыл бұрын
Yea that's pretty crazy man. I guess since the tech said it maybe consider not going back to Costco then. It's unfortunate but that just seems to be the situation. I know this is out there but I believe there was a company that checks fuel and oil qualities if you send them samples. Perhaps you could gather some fuel from Costco and other fuel stations? It's more trouble than what it's worth I realize that.

That Tundra is a nice truck, but it has the worst interior in the class, the materials are far worse than the Titan, less soft touch, it is loaded with hard plastic, the transmission (6 speed) is laughable
