"I'm a Board Certified Dermatologist" a.k.a. actually qualified to give advice and information on the given subject, unlike 99% of random creators existing in the "ether", that feel compelled to give out public advice on subjects they have little or no knowledge of. Sorry, not sorry. Much respect to Dr. Dray and her expertise. I really enjoy her videos.

I have always thought people who aren't experts usually in my mind doctors or dieticians ect shouldn't have their own channels acting as experts and having for instance thousands of subscribers. A lot of mistakes can occur and they can't know what doctors do. They should do it maybe in a different form.

Changes I’ve made since finding Dr. Dray-- Running from all the expensive “clean” beauty products that are filled with essential oils, double cleansing only once a day, drying my hair with a t-shirt, using all the oat products, slathering that sunscreen on daily and incorporating more drug store skincare products. So happy with my routines now, thank you for all you do!! 💜

@@kate.m8499 it still needs doctor's precription if you want to be safe. But, in general, you can get it without any prescription because some people use it as an acne treatment, not an anti aging treatment. In Indonesia, ingredients like Benzoyl peroxide and Azelaic acid can not be sold in regular Supermarkets. You need to go to the Pharmacies who are licensed to sell medicines, just like tretinoin. I just wished you were on KZfaq 8 years ago when I was wasting my money and skin barrier , trying fixing my oily skin with alcohol based harsh toners, scrubs and face washes. Fast forward to 2017 when I started watching your videos and realised that my skin wasn’t oily, it was dehydrated instead and skin barrier was compromised. I can’t thank you enough for your existence dr. Dray. Because of you I have the best skin of my life. I’m 38 and I never had this clear skin, ever since I hit puberty at 13. Much love, respect and prayers 🥰😍🙏🏽

Very informative! I used to be guilty of getting expensive skincare only because I felt like I was getting a superb product and that my skin would look great. Uh...nope. Per your recommendation in a video from a while back, I started using Vanicream facial wash and I haven't looked back. This stuff cleans my skin and removes my makeup w/o drying it out or irritating it. Thank you for sharing ♥

@@LoveABun Hi :-) I'm not so sure about removing thick mineral sunscreen. that's a good question. At night, I follow with Cerave SA facial wash (another rec from Dr. Dray). I have super oily/acne prone skin, though. Maybe she'll answer this question because it's a good one. Thanks for asking ♥

You could use the vanicream as a first step in a double cleanse. The vanicream will break up the sunscreen and the cleanser will help rinse it away.

right? I was a skincare JUNKIE until I watched Dr Dray's videos for like a week and that was all it took to get me to abruptly and completely lose interest in buying skincare products. Now all I use is my face wash, topical treatment from my derm, moisturizer, and sunscreen. That's it! And my skin honestly looks better for it. I was looking into the Shani Darden products and could not believe that the texture reform and retinol reform were both $88 when the texture reform didnt even have actual retinol in it! I must say that I got the retinol reform and have had great results. I only use a pea size over my entire face so I'm making it last!

I love me some Glow Recipe. I’ve only tried a sample of the one you mentioned, though. I totally agree about it not being occlusive. I generally put my CeraVe cream on top of some of my glow recipe stuff. The GR just feels so great on my skin! Plus the niacinamide dew drops are just so pretty although I am not counting on that niacinamide penetrating previously mentioned occlusive layer. I do other niacinamide as well.

As Erin R. said, go for a reasonably priced azelaic acid product such as the one from La Roche-Posay. Like Erin I'm in Australia too and I use Ego brand Azclear (20%) azelaic acid medicated lotion for redness, inflamation issues, as well as helping other skin concerns. It's over the counter in pharmacies in Australia (acne aisle) and only about AU$13-$15. Otherwise, your GP may be able to prescribe you an azelaic acid lotion that is effective and more economical than overpriced glam-scam products. 👱‍♀️❤
