Ive found the mizuno wave rebellion flash to be brilliant in this category. But then again i like this type of shoe to be a bit firmer. They just work better for me

i like new musical introduction.I think Fordy has most production interesting channel about running. Also important for me most objectively review about shoes among all channels

Bought a pair today and also got a little bit irritated with sizing. I went with my usual asics size, but my guess is with the toe spring it feels a little tight in front. Other point, I found it quite wide for me. A little much material in the front. Hope they hold up the first tests on the street, they definitely look great 😊

That outsole seems like it won't be too happy outside the track surface? no? yes? Looking forward for the future vid on this.

Good review and points as always! BUT I don’t understand why "everyone" testing shoes goes "True to size UK this or US that". Like sizing varies from brand to brand and even from model to model. I am no genius, but I always look at the JP/CM on sizing charts when buying online - that way I always get the right fit 👍🏻

Sounds like it could be a more budgety race option (£160 vs £200+ for most top-end carbon racers) I’m sure you will, but after Southend, let us know how you think this would go over a full marathon distance.

To go half a size up? I am 43.5 in the Metaspeed Edge plus. Is this a Metaspeed Edge plus on a budget?

So the Speed 3 is the goat due to versatility but for someone looking specifically for a tempo + race shoe, is this the better choice?

Like the colour. I have sizing issues with Asics. There is a lack of consistency across the range - the Gel Cumulus are true to size, the race oriented shoes are not. Also, I would buy the Takumi Sen 9 over these.

Is the Magic Speed V3 what some of us wished the Endo Speed V3 was? I loved the Endo Speed V1, but the V3 just feels like a daily trainer that handles strides well, but nothing like what the Speed V1 did, which was a true half marathon racer for me.

how do you compare this with takumi sen and endorphin speed, which one is better for speed workout, race, etc

Currently trying this one out ,my thoughts it’s ok for speed workouts Asics trying to punt it as a speed shoe you can race because it has a carbon plate that’s cheaper than top tier race shoes I wouldn’t race in this , no way U can Pick up the metaspeed sky+ for £20 more or less now in some places . There’s no comparison to that shoe for your speed workouts and races . And other discounted super shoes . it’s well Overpriced @ £160

I have a store credit with ASICS and was going to wait for these as I have my first half marathon coming up. My wife has asked me to pace her to get a PB at a very similar pace to the one you are planning on doing. I actually ended up buying the Deviate Nitro 2 on sale instead as everyone seems to be sizing up half a size in the Magic Speed 3. My issue is I'm a 12 and almost every shoe jumps from 12 to 13 which is frustrating. The Cumulus 25 ran very short and the Glideride 3 were a bit short too. I'm not that interested in a specialised super shoe as I don't usually enter events. The Magic Speed 3 looks like something that could fill the gap and do some other stuff too. Hopefully the Deviate Nitro 2s give me something similar even though I feel the Magic Speed 3 may be a bit quicker. I already own the Endorphin Pro 2 which I like but am willing to trade a little bit of speed for comfort.

My pair arrived yesterday and I am disappointed with the quality control of these Asics! Glue everywhere and one stitch sticking out between the sole and upper.

Do you feel these could last a marathon distance?
