Exploring Florida Swamps for Shark Teeth and Other Fossils - Hunting for Megalodon Teeth

On this adventure, we set out to explore deep into the Florida swamps and back woods in an area that was once a shallow ocean. The goal: to find shark teeth and other cool fossils, including teeth from the elusive megalodon shark. We managed to find some great stuff, locate a promising new area that we'd like to return to and we even survived a close encounter with swamp children.

I was thinking either that or, hear me out...white-nose coati. Florida is the land of introduced species and coatis are one of them. It was kind of hard for me to see them clearly on my phone, but I think it looked plausible.

@@angieemm that is possible. But not probable. Otters would be far more common in Florida, and that is the exact environment they live in and a trackway like that fits their behavior.

@PaleoCris, in regards to chronic ear infection--in a small container, mix one half alcohol, and one half parts white distilled vinegar, and drop some in ear daily for about a week. Then do this about once a week thereafter or more often if you're prone to "swimmer's ear". The alcohol will help dry out your ear canal, and the vinegar makes the PH in your ear canal a little more acidic, which discourages bacterial growth. My old-timie family doctor told me about this years ago, when my boys were younger, and it works like a charm for us!
