@@bankortimor8488 'Uncreated' simply means 'not brought into existence through an act of creation by an external agent'. Everything in the world is created by God, as it is separate of the Creator and is brought into existence by Him through His act of creation. But the same cannot be said of the Quran, as it was spoken by Him, not created. The Quran is included in God's existence and is never separate of His existence. It begins to subsist within His essence by His will, but it is not outside of God such that it would be created or part of the world.

@@bankortimor8488 Yes, an entity that is not eternal is necessarily created by a separate creator agent. But 'originating' attributes are not necessarily created by God. If they are attributes of created entities, they will be created by God. But if they are attributes of God, they will not be created by God. They will instead be uncreated volitions and actions that subsist in God's essence.

It is impossible for a spoken word to detach from a speaker and move on to subsist elsewhere, just as it is impossible for the power or sight of someone to detach from his being and go on to describe someone else. The Quran is in our hearts and in the parchments only in the sense that it is written there. The Quran does not subsist in human beings or in the parchments. Only the act of reciting the word of Allah subsists in us. That act of recitation is created in us by Allah just like everything else in the world, and it is therefore attributed to us as a description, not to Allah. As for the word which we recite that is the Quran, it is uncreated and it is attributed only to Allah as a description.

That is NOT the Belief of the Muslims. The Qur'an is the Speech of Allah, and His Speech is from His Attributes and His Attributes are NOT created. The Qur'an is memorized, written & Recited. So when someone asks, "Is the Mushaf created", we should ask, what do you mean by that? If they mean what is written in the Mushaf, then we say that is uncreated, but as for the paper, ink etc. Then that is created. You failed to differentiate between the two.

In ancient times, literacy was a skill that few people had and prophet Muhammad [pbuh] himself did not know how to read or write. During the time of Caliph Abu Bakr, when 70 people who knew the Quran by heart (qari), were killed in the Battle of Yamama, Umar ibn al-Khattab became concerned and appealed to Abu Bakr in order to compile the Quran into a book. Abu Bakr formed a delegation under the leadership of Zaid ibn Thabit, one of the leading scribes. This delegation of 12 people, including famous figures such as Uthman ibn Affan, Ali ibn Abi Talib, Talha ibn Ubaydullah, Abdullah ibn Masood, Ubayy ibn Kab, Khalid ibn al-Walid, Hudhaifah and Saleem, came together in Umar's house and collected all the materials on which verses from the Quran were written. In addition, the verses memorized by the companions were heard as well. Each of them was asked to show two witnesses for the verse they read. Thus, all the verses of the Quran that describe the creation of the universe and people, judgment day, exemplary stories of the people who lived before and the beliefs, worship, morals and legal bases that believers should obey were collected together into a single-volume book. Each of the verses was taught by the archangel Gabriel and declared by Prophet Muhammad. The verse is the name given to each sentence of the Quran and the surah is the name given to each part of the holy book. There are 6,236 verses, 114 surahs and about 323,000 letters in the Quran. Saeed ibn al-Aas, who was renowned for the beauty of his handwriting, wrote them down on gazelle skin. The writing used was the Arabic script of the time, which was already old and used commonly at that time in Hejaz.

@@anthonygloria5192 Actually both. If you look at the first verse in the quran, it says "bismillahi Rahmani Rahim" which translates to "in the *name* of God, the benificient and merciful". As you can see its in singular even though two names describes Him. The reason why we call them "names" is because there is a verse that says we can use these attributes to refer to Him, turning them into names.
