Prophethood and guruship are two different concepts, they cannot be equated. The truth that all the prophets and the gurus claimed were the same, in that there is one god without any caste, colour, creed, gender, association or indeed religion. The quran mentions that there ARE not were many other prophets and that the message has been sent to every people on earth. The only reason guru nanak is not understood to potentially be part of the Islamic 'Prophethood' is because he came chronologically after mohammed due to the line in the quran about 'We have now sealed your religion'. This does not necessarily mean that there chronologicallly can't be any other enlightened souls. Sikhism actually is not a religion but a philosophy that has been turned into a religion by its adherents, just like every other religion on earth.
