Great stuff, I love my Arken scopes, I use to pick Nikon stuff most of the time for what I do, but they don't make scopes any longer, hence Arken, for the money they are a great value. I got old eyes so I like is the fact that Arken offers a combination of features that allows for a clear picture. I just twist and turn the knows until I get a nice crisp picture. I think for the money, Arken is a great option. They are kind of heavy for me since I'm older but for what I do they are perfect and I really enjoy taking the guns out and watch the Grand kids and family have fun at the range. When I verify 0 it only takes 2-3 shots and I'm good to go. Thanks for sharing. 👍

The parallax issues shouldn’t be an issue because the numbers are really only to get you in the ballpark quickly and adjust from there for your eyes. Its silly for anyone to think they can set the parallax at 200 yards and it’s automagically going to be in focus and parallax free. The people who complain are not educated on how an optic works and are coming to their own conclusions on how its supposed to work which isn’t how the engineers who designed it. My $2500 leupolds aren’t 100% accurate either.

Everyone's eyes are different so the measurement should be a point of reference

I do agree with you but I wonder if the knob is splined where you could set to your eye and install knob accordingly.

My eyes will need a different setting depending on the time of day or how much computer work I've done before getting behind any optic

Point of interest if you hog hunt at night the full Christmas is lighted on 5 and 6. Actually the perfect illumination for me because the center + is brighter than the Christmas tree which makes it easy to pick up and not have to deal with a full bright lighted tree

Thanks for your reviews. I love my arken so far. I got mine with the low rings. Currious if you have the medium or high rings and did you start with the low rings and change them to higher rings? Thanks

Thank you for the informative content, I have a 6.5 creedmor in MDT Oryx chassis and want to get the Arken EP5 for it Do you recommend to get the normal rings with 20 Moa picatinny rail or is it better to mount it with the Arken 20 Moa 1 piece canter leaver mount?

Any AR platforms i suggest the Rigid mounts and "most" bolt action rifles the Low regular mounts. In a few cases the low will not work as the front bell will hit barrel; in those cases the medium (but most the low work). AR i always go rigid.

These are my first iluminated reticle scopes my SH4 is fine all setings the EP5 at max brightness has some faint but noticable lighted "spots" other than the center + (the corners down the Xmass tree) is that normal? just asking cause I don't know. Also not sure I like the lighted reticle anyway so prob will rarely use it. thanks for the review up-date

I've been looking at this for a budget long range project out to 1 mile occasionally but mostly 1000yds. Is this scope clear enough at 1000? I've heard it's as clear that far out

I have 4 that are certified 1000 yard scopes, not 100% sure about a mile, but have heard/viewed video's of guys having mile success, I am able to use mine to verifiy many hit's vs. misses at various distances including out to 1000 yds. I have talked to 2 different shooters (one a friend, the other an acquaintenance) who opted to use Arken on long range set-ups, over Nightforce's that they had previously had on rifles, one opted for the EP5, the other said his Gen II SH4 6-24x50 was hands down better than his $2500 NF he had previously mounted on his PRS LR 6.5x47 Lapua rifle. Haven't yet heard anyone personally disappointed with an Arken.

Appreciate the reviews. Suggest changing your channel name to "Nothing but Arken EP5" 🤣👍 its a great 1,200 dollar scope for $600 but definitely does not compare to a Nightforce like so many suggest

I owned a Nightforce 4-16x50 ATACR. While it was a great scope, there were things that the Arken had that were simply better. Turrets feel so much better on the Arken and the Arken ocular you can see edge to edge without the big black ring that the ATACR has. Glass is better on the Nightforce, but not as drastic as others portray. The Arken looks so good as well. Tracking seems to be a wash. Arken customer service is excellent. I'm not a fanboy, if it didn't work I wouldn't own it.

Cant help but laugh , i have 3 Arken scopes , they are awesome for the price . Just looked at the Nightforce price , hell it should be better ! Surprisingly some people have to shoot on a budget. What guys will spend on a scope i have in my Bergara b14r set up . To each his own but for the money you cant beat Arken !!!!

Not seeing mirage and being able to read the wind very good with the SH4 is my issue. Can you read wind with the EP5 ?

I've trusted my rifles to them and refitted each with them. Affordability be able to buy 3 for price 1 other in some cases. I like having same retical and features on guns. And warranty...I have zero worries.

EP5 is Just a little better. Arken Scope are the best out there they blow away my Vortex Strike Eagle. Which was a lot more money.

Regarding the EP5 - few say theirs are clear all the way to 25x while others say theirs are good until 20x. Couple said theirs are good until 16x.

Just don't expect as nice of the glass as the Athlon Midas TAC (6-24x50 $500-$600) has.

Arenk makes good products - but the new line is FUBAR... been waiting OVER 3 months and nothing... 4-6 weeks on their website, contacted them - they say its 8-12 weeks... still nothing - no response from their customer support. Think twice before ordering from Arken!
