So the ring itself is still aluminum and the titanium is just the sliver clamp portion?
@RugerGundog14 сағат бұрын
This is correct. That small part had a failure rate and a lot of subsequent warranty claims from hard hitting platforms.

Hi Bob. Do you know the full range of elevation clicks on the EPL4 6x24? On a Huben PCP I want to reach out to 150-200 yards. My zero i want at 35 yards. So where would you recommend, in clicks, should my 35 zero be? For optimal scope performance

20mrad or 68moa of elevation adjustment with the Turret.

Just about to mount the new Arken SH-4Gen2 6x24x50mm VPR reticule on my AR-10. Went with Arkens 20moa one piece 34mm scope mounts. Hoping that can handle the recoil of 7.62 ok, as I really do not wanna make this already heavy scope more beefy with badger ordinance steel rings? I would love to see you use it on the range.

If you simply leave it on your gun and use it regular it all becomes automatic very quickly, you only need to connect a phone for initial setup and updates, you're watching a tv screen so can view from any angle.

This particular optic has an erector inside that is a bit more sensitive to torque or distortion of the tube body if you get too close with a ring. More so than other Arkens in my experience.

Ordered and had my Zulus within a week (to central Illinois) which was much faster than I expected. The LRF is spot on with my Vortex LRF and the night illuminator will more than suit my needs for yotes and steel. The instruction booklet is a little lacking but the countless videos on here have been a lifesaver. A few questions though - 1. how will I be notified of firmware updates? 2. when will 20 and 35 moa mounts be available in the U.S?
@RugerGundog13 күн бұрын
Very good question on how to know about updates. I suspect if you routinely log it on it may prompt you. As for different mounts....I wish I knew also. It is a fun unit....enjoy!!

I bought a EP5 AND IT only lasted 120ish rounds of 300prc before it started to self-destinate. Not sure what the scope is rated for but its not rated for a 300prc without a brake and up IMHO. Still waiting to see what arken has to say or what they are going to do about the scope i sent in for warranty. Their scope rings wouldnt even hold the scope with their recomended torque setting of 18inch/lbs l, the scope was moving in the rings drastically, had to go up to 24inch/lbs and still not 100% sure if that was enough. Its a great scope for small caliber rifles. Really disappointed that it didnt handle better. When i get it back im going to throw it on my DD DELTA 5 IN 6.5 CREEDMOOR and see how it will do on that rifle.

Odd. I have 2 with hundreds of 300 win mag and one I hammered hell out with air chisel. Send it back...lifetime warranty. It's rated 50 bmg.
@RugerGundog15 күн бұрын
It's unconditional warranty. You get a new one. Odd on rings too. I have 27 set on rigs...a few magnums...all 18". I do clean optic with alcohol first and check torque from time to time. Lemme know how it works out.
@ride20810 күн бұрын
@RugerGundog I did send it back they're sending a new one. Think I may have just got a lesser quality scope then most people have gotten. It happens. I was just surprised how it only last 120 rounds. Finger crossed this next one work. Think I might test it out again on the 300prc and test it's quality. If it comes apart again or not then I'll know for sure on this product. I have 2 others from arken and do love there product. Just like I said was very surprised. Thanks for the reply.

Then I’m assuming you can only go one way which is dialing down. Since you have a zero you can either hold at MOA or dial left or down to desired dope or range ?
@RugerGundog16 күн бұрын
Can only spin counter clockwise....or up numerically to raise shot beyond zero.
@jdpst2015 күн бұрын
Yeah that’s what I mean prob just said it wrong. My score was low from the factory so I had to dial UP CLOCKWISE to zero. Now with zero stop on you’re set at zero so the only way you can dial is counter clockwise so if you need to dial 3 MOA FOR say 300 yards you dial and boom you’re at 3 center hold. Then back to a 100 yard zero You can turn it blindly back to zero.
@johndewilde742217 күн бұрын
Would you mind clarifying your explanation at the approximate 4:07 mark if moving the reticle the bullseye will always be the center point of aim. Do you mean you're moving the bullseye location when adjusting the turrets?
@RugerGundog17 күн бұрын
If you are using reticle adjustments to hit target it's called a hold over. So for instance if you zero at 100y, you may need to hold up on the 4th hash line for say....a 300y shot. Conversely if you rather keep the target centered on the dot in middle of the reticle you would spin the turret to 4. Using center dot of reticle and precise clicks of turret can in many cases lead to tighter groups.
@johndewilde742217 күн бұрын
@@RugerGundog But don't change your zero by using the turret? New point of aim?
