Hi Bobby. The vegetables are from China also. I would not feel comfortable eating from the dollar store but I give you a lot of credit for trying. This food is a better choice than some others.👍

I never been or tho about it, to going to dollar stores, I'm Costco guy, this is good to see & know , i mean if u wanna go that low , just go to Walmart lol I guess is good for to buy cleaning stuffs from there! man when u make RICE after Boil a bit , drop it in colander & drain it and spray it with fresh water few times then put it back in pot , to drain most Arsenic out of it ..i never make rice like that

The reason why I enjoy this channel is because the info given can be tailored to any budget. I can only imagine how many people give up on trying to eat healthier because they think it is too expensive. While it might be more challenging to make a healthy meal made with ingredients from the Dollar Tree as opposed to one made with ingredients from Whole Foods, the person with the Dollar Tree budget doesn’t have to feel completely helpless if they know what to look for and what to avoid. It’s a matter of doing your best with what you have. I would love to see more low budget shopping/recipes (not necessarily Dollar Tree) as well as healthy recipes for other budgets (as defined by the USDA).

I'm Asian we eat fried rice regularly. As I see your fried rice looks tasty.

Good shopping and food preparation. I love Dollar Tree. Some of us don't have more expensive stores like Trader Joe's, Whole foods or wholesale clubs in their neighborhood. We have Aldi, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Meijer, Kroger and Walmart. So many stores have left our area.

It’s indeed refined coconut oil, which I don’t mind but some people avoid it for various reasons. Rice and beans are decent buys. Problem with brown rice is rice bran oil, which goes rancid really quickly. There’s a reason why brown rice isn’t that popular, and why parboiled rice is very popular in various parts of the world (moves some nutrients from the bran to the endosperm).

I have always been skeptical of Dollar Tree quality. Thank you for pointing out some quality choices there.
