We recently sold our little starter home in the neighborhood and moved our family of 5 to our forever home and property. We are so grateful to be here and have fallen in love with so many of its wonderful features, but there’s definitely some fixing up that needs to happen around this place- especially in the kitchen which was accidentally flooded by the previous owners a few weeks before we closed on the purchase of this home.
I know, total bummer… but we are always looking for the silver lining and in this case we are excited to be able to get to work years earlier than we were planning to remodel this late 90s/ early 2000‘s builder-grade kitchen.
Even though a kitchen remodel can get very expensive very fast we still found ways to cut costs by find good deals, doing most of it ourselves and using a little creativity to make our kitchen dreams come true.
This is a two-part episode with part 1 being what we’re sharing today: The big stuff. Stay tuned for part two where we’ll be sharing the smaller details, finishing touches and final tour of the new space.
