Man. I love the respect these fighters had for each other. Old school boxing.

He was the perfect fighting machine and very well spoken and intelligent. Had one of the highest ring I.Q's and there's nothing you cannot like about this great man. A shame that he didnt get the kind of accolades that other champions got. He should have been a household name. Jesus he fought Marciano with 6oz gloves. Today's heavyweights would go home and cry before they got in the ring with those. He went 15 bruising rounds and both guys took tremendous shots. A testament on how much tougher those guys from the 40s and 50s were. Just a different type of athlete. Pretty cool he learned Italian to speak with Rocky too. They became close friends after those two savage wars

Will Grello indeed. I agree with you. Charles was a different animal, He gave Marciano his 2 toughest fights while having started professionally as a middleweight! That says it all. A true legend of the sport, and an absolutely wonderful human being outside the ring to boot!

@NoOne-kr4jc Жыл бұрын
They give the impression of gentlemen. All that dumb hype shit is nonsense. They are not communicating much with each other to save up on energy to blast each other in the ring so they probably won't get friendly. They are all competitive I bet you, to a fault, but they know to put that behavior aside and act as proper men.

Your a legend for posting this, finding Footage of Ezzard just speaking is pretty darn. Good man, my favorite fighter, could have fought in any era and would dominate the middle, super-middle, and light-heavy divisions today.

@@hammad9091 Where would you place Marciano?
@hammad90914 жыл бұрын
Hamza Khaliq Marciano is a bit difficult to rate. He is most certainly an atg, however most of his best opponents were a bit past it, and Joe Louis was completely over the hill, but that doesn’t change the fact that he beat the best in his time. I’m not sure where exactly I’d place him, perhaps in the top 40 of all time.

When I look at interviews of old generation fighters such as Ezzard, Marciano, Archie Moore, and many more, it just makes me realize that today's fighters are just pathetic and have no class.
@jacobhartmann1050 Жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right on the money. These guys were so humble and classy: very gracious towards their opponents after a win and ZERO excuses after a loss- which is how real men and real champions behave. Most boxers today are absolutely classless, arrogant and disdainful trash humans in comparison...
