Can your vacuum cleaner make those sounds? As much as the higher cylinders sounded better, these have their own appeal and I like it.

I never hear people give the turbos from the 80s shit. If you compare them side by side they're a bit louder and raspier but it's not a huge difference. Strange how that works.

No and in person these sound AMAZING! They pop and burble and sound close to blown diffusers, and they are still VERY loud in person, everybody complains, but have never heard them in person with their own ears, miami’s fp3, q1,q2,and q3 had my ears ringing when i left!

@BraydonHopfner listen to all merc customer and merc own car and then listen to other cars they sound the most like a sports car

@christophert1533 agreed, in person they are much louder than the other mercedes power unit cars, dont know how when they all follow the same regulations

@@lpc90 might just be some way they have something setup, i mean look at alpine, they have a split turbo config and sound completely different from the rest of the grid, i dont inow if its allowed but maybe mclaren has been tweaking something like their turbo setup or something.

@christophert1533 very true, it's nice to hear a v6 hybrid that actually sounds good especially in person. I noticed how loud they were at Silverstone this year when I attended, I have some videos on my channel you can definitely tell the difference. Let's hope the new 2026 regulations improve the sound more with them ditching the mgu-h.

Mclaren is the loudest car this year, i dont knkw how or why but it sounds harsher and gruntier than the rest of the cars.

Hear them in person and then talk shit. They are still EXTREMELY loud, they pop, burble, and sound like blown diffusers (mercedes pu) and the hondas have violent pops and bangs, and the ferarris wastegates they are just simply AMAZING in person.

@@Christophers1.8as someone who went to the Brazilian GP last year i can confirm. Yeah they sound quiet when compared to the mighty V10 and V12s but that doesn't take away the fact the current V6s engines are loud when seen irl
