This actually makes sense. Think of all the "Bloody Mary" challenges. It involves looking at a mirror in barely any light and people see their own faces morph or something else in the mirror!

Not exactly,but something close. Due to the dim lighting, the part of your brain which processes faces cannot recognize your face. So it tries to just pick a face. Since you are usually expecting queen Mary, that what your brain decides to put there.

Ok... I suffer from sleep paralysis regularly, and I would see some messed up sh*t! I watched this video a few days ago, and last night... I saw Link standing at the edge of my bed with he face he was doing at 8:38. I came back onto this video just to share this wonderful experience with you.

Am I the only one who did this growing up? This is caused by our eyes needing constant movement to maintain the image, so when you stare, the image fades, and your mind tries to make sense of the distorted image.

I used to do this in Grade School to my teacher when she would sit in front of the class and talk. I would stare at her and her head would disappear and the board that was behind her would replace her head and I could make one or the other appear kind of like sending a layer to the front in paint or word. I always thought I was just weird, neat.

10 seconds into the solo-stare my eyes drifted apart and a third eye was in the center. After another couple of seconds all three eyes merged into one huge anime eye in the center. My nose disappeared altogether and the left side of my face began to melt while the right side drew up creating a corkscrew twisting motion. I'm going to draw this. Maybe this is how Picasso got his drawings?

you know.. this happened to me when i was a lil kid in that moment just passed an earthquake and the lights runned out. then i went for some candles and the ilumination was really like rhett's n link's studio, well the thing is that i was with my brother sittin on a corner of the bed waiting for the lights to come on and we started to talk...after half an hour i started to see his face like lizzard skin shape, i didn't saw his eyeballs with the fade of the light and the more time we were looking each other's face ..... his face started to morph so its totally creepy and strange to do that, i definatelly not goin to feel the same experience... i was scared! like a lot xD

Quick tip: If you guys want to feel like the world is somehow too dark that you want to turn the lights on. Do this. Turn your lights off, all the lights in your room. Stare at something, your ceiling, a narrow space, or just a certain space wheres its dark but you could still see ambient lights from the streets or just light that surrounds the area that you are looking at. Start staring at that area as long as you can, and dont blink. You'll know when you start feeling it, if you felt or saw that your whole room got darker and darker then blink.
