Thank you Andrew for the very interesting video! I was wondering whether you can create a video engagement custom audience based on a video, which has not been posted on your page, but which has been used in a previous ad (and in that way, creating sequential ads)?

Incredible Video For Sure. However, I am trying to understand a couple of details ... 1. If I have a custom audience of 100,000 and I am reaching 1,000 a day based on my budget, if the frequency cap is reached for a given customer, does Facebook automatically stop serving the ad to that customer and move on to other customers in my custom customer list until all customers in the custom list is reaches the frequency cap? And, what happens if I pause the ad and restart? Is the frequency cap reset for my custom list, which causes the ad to be shown again to the same customers in the list?

Hi Don, 1. Yes, it will stop serving to that person once they hit the frequency cap if you’ve set one. In terms of reaching the whole 100k audience though, it likely won’t reach every person. It will try to get as many as possible, but you’ll most likely never see it reach every single person. If you pause and restart it won’t reset the frequency counter. Meaning it wouldn’t show the ads more than the number of times you’ve selected as the frequency cap. But if you create a new ad set, or clone the existing ad set it will.

HELP 😫 I don’t want to track conversions I want to track how many times the “Learn More” button that’s in my Facebook ad is being used. I think Facebook focuses on how widespread my ads are. They don’t count how many times the action button used and they mislead people with the term “ link clicks” because the link clicks is actually the ad link, it’s not the website link. I think we are being scammed and deceived. Your comment is very much important to me. Thx. Last note, to repeat myself, I want proof from reports telling me how many ‘clicks’ the ‘Learn More’ link to my website is performing.

I’m not sure what you mean when you say “I think Facebook focuses on how widespread my ads are”. If you can clarify that I may be able to give a better response to that part. Re. Clicks on the Learn More button - I’m curious, why do you want to know this number excluding other link clicks? Facebook don’t give you that metric specifically because to be honest it’s generally not really relevant. You can do it using separate UTM parameters for the learn more button link and links in the copy. And you can verify traffic using Google Analytics (though the numbers will never match Facebook’s 100% they’ll be close).

One other thing - link clicks is only clicks on links to your website. Whether that’s the learn more button or links in your ad copy. It is not clicks on the ad.
