Whats up! I had a request to make a video about the fairing on my 2016 Fatboy S, so here it is! I go into detail about the fairing itself and talk about the radio and speakers I have installed. I hope this video can help anyone else looking to install a fairing on a Fatboy!

I own the fatbob but your bike looks great with that fairing, it looks as though it came straight from the dealership looking like that. Nice bike 👍👍

Thanks for the kind words. I no longer have this bike but I rode it to the beach a couple of times with the fairing and it made a big difference!

I added a batwing fairing to my 14 fatboy lo, love it! I did add the fangs on the forks as well because I was getting crazy buffering. Bought mine from Bike life nation for $550 with radio and 6x9's. Looks good bro!

The Fatboy was a great bike! I got my fairing and HD hard bags all for $550. Found it all on Craigslist, than had a buddy paint everything to match the bike. I no longer have the Fatboy, but it was a fun and comfortable bike for sure!

@@jzab9455 They sounded great! I know everything was marine grade and I remember going with a Bluetooth ONLY radio. I wasn’t going to mess with CDs anyway. I could hear it on the highway at 75

@user-ol6rx8qh7y I was looking for something to fill hat gap but I never found anything I could just buy. I was going to fabricate 2 pieces but traded the bike before I did that.

I like the look, but they look to upright. is there a way to angle it lower? maybe mod the mounting bracket. so it lays back some like on the baggers.

Mounting the fairing was kind of weird. I didn’t have any room for movement. I haven’t owned this bike in years!

Reckless is the name brand. I also ordered the mounting hardware from Reckless, specific to the bike as well.

Your install looks great, would you happen to remember where you got the hardware? I'm trying to mount a fairing on my fatboy now and cannot find the right bolts any where around me.

I got the hardware through Reckless. That was the brand fairing I had so I purchased their hardware for my specific bike

Man that looks good thanks for the video. Its funny i was wondering about this the other week and then your message popped up lol. We're going 2 call ur bike a fatglide now lol. Good stuff i look 4ward 2 more videos from u, and just riding around videos are good, every1 else does them, and i myself find them a good hold over in those winter cold days when its 2 cold 2 ride but u wish u could lol. Where r u located?

Ive got VH big shots, will the bags fit with them do you know?

The ones I had didn’t extend straight back like most pipes. They turned down right in front of the the rear wheel. If they do go straight back I’m not sure as I didn’t have to fit bags with a pipe in the way. If you have the bags or a friend with bags you could hold the bag up to the bike and kind of measure to see if the bag would work with the pipes. Good luck!

I got the fairing used and had to purchase the mounting kit from the fairing manufacturer.

That looks awesome! I have two different wind shields for my 2017 S. One gives plenty of airflow for the summer and the other regular shield for the winter. I might have to think about this though.

Nice bike! Really helped me with my decision on trading my Fatboy S and getting a street glide or getting a fairing. If you don’t mind me asking what brand of hard bags do you have?

zachary thorpe I'm glad my video helped! There is no reason to trade man...just put a fairing and bags on your Fatboy! My bags are Harley brand. I got them used from a guy. I believe he told me they come off of an ultra classic but I don't remember what year he said it was. If you have any more questions just let me know. Thanks for checking out the video!

You're bike likes better with those apes than mine did when I bought are those 16 inch mine had 20 inch apes and hated them traded em for some other stock bars I like them alot more

I bought it off of someone when I had the bike. I do know the brand name was Reckless if you want to look it up!

Mine was a Reckless brand fairing. I ordered brackets and mounting hardware directly from Reckless made FOR the Fayboy I had. If you can find out what brand it is or know, definitely contact that company to see if they have brackets for your bike.

What’s that pad you have on your seat? Does it stay in place when you get on/off your bike? I have a 2014 Fatboy Lo and run a Corbin Solo seat…. better than stock but very hard and still uncomfortable. I’m 6’1” and the extra height from that pad would help my knees and maybe soften the ride a bit on my tender ass. Lol

That’s an AirHawk seat pad. It worked great on that bike. I have a Corbin seat on the bike I ride now and LOVE IT! I was on the Corbin for 1000 miles and was comfortable the whole time

They weren’t anything fancy at all. I think they were around $75-$100 from eBay and were 12” apes. There were definitely wide in the middle so the middle of the fairing were the radio was would go through. I’ll try to get you a link to the bars I had on my Fatboy.

Unfortunately no. It took forever to find and get the mounting brackets that once I got them, I just wanted it installed.

The bars that finally worked with the fairing were 12” bars. Just make sure they are wide enough in the middle for the fairing to fit through, depending on the fairing of course.
