Fake Short Hair (Cute Faux Bob)

Hello sweet sprinkles!
What if I told you that you can achieve a cuter and shorter hairstyle without having to cut your hair? Believe it baby!
Today I'm going to show you guys how you can create a Chic Faux Bob. It's nice to have a change sometimes and it's even more awesome when you can do it without the commitment. I feel like a whole different person with this 'shorter hairstyle'. Depending on your personality and outfit, you can either end up looking super adorable or even kinda sexy (ooh la la).
I've also been seeing quite a lot of celebrities sport a faux bob rather than a typical undo for red carpet events these days. I love that.
I've had my hair long for years now and I've always wanted to cut my hair shorter but because our wedding is in 6 months, I have to grow my hair long for the undo. This hairstyle gives an illusion of a cuter and shorter hairstyle. I love it. I feel like a whole different person with this hairstyle. Makes me feel sassy and CHIC!!
I'm afraid this hairstyle is just for the longer hair ladies (shorter hair girlies, you already have what we're trying to achieve anyways hehee). However, regardless if you have layers or not- you can do this hairstyle. With layers- it looks more realistic and without layers- you'll have a more elegant finish.
Why not try this fun and cute faux bob for a special night out? You're guaranteed to turn heads.
Remember! It's called a Faux Bob for a reason. The closest to having short hair is of course, actually having short hair. The whole point of a Faux Bob is to give an illusion of shorter looking hair. Not totally replicate it. There's lots of different Faux Bob styles but this is the style that I've been taught ^_^

My hair used to be down to my waist, I'm not even kidding. Then I cut it because it was so annoying: it was getting in my face all the time, it kept on getting tangled, it was just annoying. Then I cut it all off and up to my shoulders. It's grown a lot since then, but it won't be at my old length for a couple months, or at least a year. But if my hair was still at that length, it would be so frustrating and hard to do this that I'd be crying

i have this weird routine.. every 3 years i cut it short. as of now, my hair is waist-long. and I know that feel! it's tangly, gets in my face, just bleh. time for a short bob!

+maedretheflame i do the same thing!!! I love long hair so I let it grow to my hips but then I get so annoyed by the tangles that I cut it shoulder lengh and after a couple of months I want my hair long again (repeat forever lol)

I did this hairstyle. Many people said I was so cute in it and thought I chopped off my knee long hair. Once I got home I released my locks. And the 4 hour prosses of detangling my hair began. I think I did it wrong.

Does it look...okay if I don't curl the top layer? I want to try on a regular day at school but curling hair for most students is normally seen around graduation. It's not tat tie yet but I want to see what people will think if I go around saying 'I cut my hair' then arriving with my hair normal the next day.

Do i have to curl my hair to do this? i have really curly hair and i always wanted to cut my hair but my dad convinced me to keep it long.Sadly my dad died of lung cancer so i don't want to cut it short because i feel it might make me miss my dad more (does that make sense).I don't want to have to flat iron my curly hair and then curl the edges so is there a way i can make my hair appear shorter with just flat ironed hair

+Natalia Agard if your hair is already curly, don't worry about it! if you're wanting more structured curls, just sleep with your hair in a tight twisted bun the day before you want to try this. :)
