Snow traction is the most important for me when purchasing a tire. BFG k02 and General Grabber ATX is the best A/T tires I have ever experienced in all terrain types especially in deep snow.

I have had Grabber AT2’s on my 2005 Chevrolet 3500 DRW which I have used for towing up and down the Alcan Highway and up and down from North Dakota to Texas. I towed almost 18k lbs trailers and campers both in Summer and Winter. I am about to replace them with ATX’s. The AT2’s were my Summer tires from April to October (usually, but I have used them all year on a few occasions), but still they lasted me 10 years! There is still plenty of tread left on them, but the sun and leaving the truck parked for 6 months while I was overseas finally started cracking the tire tread too deeply. I have researched ATX’s and the experience I have had with the AT2’s should hold true; they should be rotated about every 5k miles, they are pretty loud on road and feel stiff, but their reputation for longevity is well earned. If I towed professionally I would consider a lighter tire to help with fuel consumption, but the tire’s longevity and snow performance is what sells me. I would feel less comfortable driving on ice with them - studding would be a must if I was to do that. My set of Winter tires are studded BFG Duratracs which I swear by as cold climate tires.

I have a lot of miles with both tires and my 2 cents is that the Grabber rides a lot better and seems to wear more evenally across the tread, the Falken offers a ruogher ride un-even tread wear better off road grip and seems to get more miles, so i guess decide what you want you cannot have the best of both worlds!!!! I choose comfort and ride quality over better traction in mud!!

Hi, Could you please help advice a right tire for me? Vehicle: 2018 F150 supercrew Tire dimension: 275/55/R20-113T 1.It is best handling in all weather conditions, especially in the WINTER. I live in a icy and snowy area. 2.I never go off road or towing, but might be go to some trails. Most diving condition is on highway or in the city. Thank you.

@Dave try lowering your pressure. Lower pressure equals wider foot print. I'd run closer to 35 in the snow. I bet you'd see a huge difference

As someone who lives in Canada and have used Falken Wildpeak AT3W year round in all kinds of weather, I could not disagree with you more. As as AT tire, the Wildpeaks can't be touched by most other AT tires in the snow/ice.

What PSI do you run in the snow? I RARELY air down at all, and Falken a have still been great in snow
