It's fall on the farm! Let's make some fall recipes!
PS - Sunday morning was the first time I wore this new dress from Neuflora. I love it! But I got dressed quickly and didn't realize while I was filming how low-cut it was. I've since worn it with a different bra and that made all the difference! It's now one of my favorites - shop Neuflora here (it's the Brookfield Dress) - www.neuflora.com/?ref=W4OeJ

I'm Steph, wife of John & mom of 4 living on a 5th generation homestead. My husband's great-grandparents bought this farm in rural Missouri in 1942. My husband was supposed to take the farm over after high school - but he decided to go a different direction and moved out on his own. At that time he said he'd never get married or have kids. But here we are - 4 kids later and back on the farm. I grew up in town - so farm life has been a new adventure for me and I absolutely love it. I'm learning as I go and opting out of as many broken systems as I can along the way. We've lived here almost five years now, we homeschool our kids here, raise and grow more of our own food all the time, and our last baby was even born here on the farm - my first home birth. Learn with me as I share glimpses into our life on the farm.

Excellent video Steph. Going to make those marshmallows. They would be good on hot chocolate :) You looked pretty in your Sunday dress. Your church dinner sounded fun. Made me think of Sunday dinners. And my favorite Sunday drives. God bless 😄

We have lots of pumpkin here on the homestead and I will have to try it in our chili and in my coffee. I love making a big pot of soup and feeding our family of 6 for a couple of days with it. Thanks for the ideas. We are also having a pie making contest next week at church…that apple pie might be a winner 😉 what kind of apples did you use? I’ve never made one. Thanks and God bless. Love, Stephanie

I'm gaining knowledge and Ideas from your vlogs. I never new how marshmellows were made. Precooking the apples was a great tip. I never used to do that, also folding the edges of the pie crust was a great tip. Thanks. I noticed that I use the same style coffee pot as you do. Gotta ask, do you use the filter that comes with the pot, or do you just pore the grounds in and strain after boiling?

The pie looked yummy! I've never precooked the apples. Do you just cook them to slightly soften? Please give a hint. When I make my dutch apple pie, they apples don't want to get done. Thank you😊

Do you prepare your pan before adding the marshmallows? Just wondering if they stick if you don't do parchment or add arrowroot powder.
@YeshuaKingMessiah

Yes her recipe doesn’t say to line pan either but I don’t know why they whites wouldn’t stick either so I’m going to dust the lightly buttered pan with powdered sugar When I find gelatin I can afford lol I do like Perfect brand collagen but it’s sooo pricey.

What about uncooked egg whites? Some ppl worry about salmonella if eaten raw. Maybe u don’t have to worry about salmonella on a farm? Curious how to detect it.

You're a natural! Did you get the chicken from your own farm and kill it yourself? My grandma had us out in the yard doing that. What a beautiful blessing to watch, great job👏

How do your marshmallows handle being roasted in a fire? We’ve always struggled with homemade marshmallows just melting instead of roasting…

For the egg yolk coffee Perfect collagen is where I actually learned this, it’s on their site-don’t put collagen in hot foods Use it rm temp or cold. So u put in water and let sit 10 min. Then it stirs quite nicely into the water or juice whatever. You ruin the proteins when u put in coffee soup etc! Too expensive to not get the benefits!!
