Just imagine how cool this game would seem if everyone thought that social interactions would just be meeting up with random people, chatting, exploring together. But nope. The gaming community is too toxic and everyone will just kill on site. Really hurts the hype for this game for many people.

The map being bigger sounds better. Then you realize there are no human npcs, factions, or unique quest givers. Sounds like a lot of empty space

I wanted a Fallout with online capabilities, I AM happy that this finally happened HOWEVER there are several things which concern me heavily. Nukes all across the map EVERY server will have trolls Online ONLY NO single player You can play alone (and get griefed by other players) Once this game gets old they will shut the servers down and end the game. No NPCs, fallout always is known for it's depth in characters.

I'm gonna get really discouraged if I work hard to build a nice base only to log on one day to see it all blown up.

I think people are forgetting that your vault is the first to open. Why would there be NPC's? I'm pretty sure nearly all humans were wiped out. Now, as the game progresses in real time, maybe NPC's will show up. Who knows? Just wait till you get the game, then you can complain.

This isn’t really a main game fallout with a story and characters, more like a prequel spinoff to just play online

No NPC´s is a bit of a bummer for me. Because I liked that from Fallout going trough towns, buildings, colleting junk, loot, finding NPCs with new side quest that can be fun. I never played Fallout for combat I wanted to explore a living world! But not hating time and reviews will tell me more about the game.

always online with no offline mode is a deal breaker. Nice as far as new ideas go but I dont want to be forced to be online if I dont want to be.

They said they'd add private servers post launch, eventually. which means a strict singleplayer experience .

I have a couple of questions. 1. What happens when you die? Do you respawn in the same world as your friends? 2. What happens if you do a ton of building and you leave the game. Does your fort save? Does it move with you via the camp?

I'm a big Fallout fan, but this gets a hard pass from me. I play games to escape the real world, not to be hounded by edgy twelve-year-olds.

Only way I would be ok with a offline solo choice would be if your progress on your offline character doesn’t move over to your online character so you can’t just select offline to be by yourself and get a easy ride for your gear then go into a server with all your gear you got offline by yourself

I would prefer to just have 4 player co-op. Maybe have the option to ONLY play with people in my friends list? The idea of having an actual barter system with other players and settlements is really interesting, but it's the internet... I mean, come on. We all know that the people who can play this the most are going to been teenagers with no jobs, who've decided that they are just going to "totally own this map" and end up being the largest faction that nuke's anyone and everyone. People who can only play games casually for a few hours a night (at the most) aren't going to stand a chance against something like that. Let me decide in the options if I don't want to participate in PVP. That way if someone attacks me I can just ignore them. If they blow up my base then fine it's no longer there, but all of the contents are put into the CAMP and returned to my inventory or something. OR give me the option of only being in the same server instance as friends. I seriously don't want to be at the whims of little Billy Puberty who gets bored of the game and decides to just grief people for hours on end.

As long as I don't get spawn camped by a gang of edgy pre-teens, I would like to explore fallout 76

Just clearing a few things up: There are NO RAIDERS There ARE QUESTS Robots and Holotapes deliver quests There are no HUMAN NPCs ( don’t mistake this for there being a lack of NPCs in general) Your settlements will be relatively small Your settlements log on and off with you so no one can attack your base when you’re offline Your settlement can never be completely destroyed and you will always be able to repair Private play is in the works

I’m excited but super curious about how it would all play out. Wonder if there will be a notification for people’s settlements getting invaded and will there be specific “settlement zones.” I always play a stealth character so will I be able to sneak into someone’s camp steal loot then leave w/o them knowing bc I can see this being done ALL the time to people.

I only played fallout 4 which was good but fallout 76 blew my mind when the trailer came out best day of my life

I don't see how this is related to Fallout anymore. This is just generic co-op survival with a recognizable name slapped onto it for sales.

Honestly multiplayer fallout is all I’ve ever wanted and this seems perfect. The no single player sucks for sure, but if we can all agree new Vegas was the best single player fallout, and you want more single player fallout, just get a pc and download the crazy projects people have been working hard on to add content to the older games. Some people have created vast open worlds full of lore and quests by using mods. They are very detailed and intricate!! I think Bethesda made the right move with this new fallout. It’s going to be a good thing over time and almost every real fallout fan will most likely enjoy it for years

I love the 4 player coop, but having it being always online with other players means there is going to be a constant threat for getting raided, or nukes. Also I feel like the consistency of the game would vary greatly as one game you play could have nothing in it, and the the next server you are in there is a massive town. Again I think this is great and should be an option, but there should be an option for being in a private server with your friends at all times.

Just something i noticed in the video, there are no raiders in this game, if you do find raiders it would be other players roleplaying as raiders. What we do have however are the Scorched, which are an intelligent feral ghoul faction that work pretty much the same as raiders, but they are not actually raiders as we have known in other fallout titles

Thought I’d let you know, there is no raiders, there are scorched men, like ghouls close to going feral but they can use weapons such as meele and guns

In a recent interview Todd said there will be PRIVATE SERVERS! Not at launch, but you'll be able to play alone or with friends without worrying about getting nuked by some rando.

So disappointed 😢 I just wanted fallout with a co-op mode. Screw online only games.

A single player game with a HUGE map would have made fans very happy. No need to water it down with "always online" filth. Who wants to get their settlement nuked after putting in such hard work?

I understand they're not being that many NPC's since 76 is supposed to be the first volt that opens. I'm okay with it constantly being online it's a changeup and I do like my Solo playing but this could be fun

The whole sever thing still doesn't register well with me, but if there is private servers i would be so glad because I would definitely make a server for my friends so that they could make their own factions and it would be fun to create server events for them as well as faction wars.

Get the entire server together, give each of them a portion of a nuclear code. Have each group set up in the silo their code corresponds to, bam, digital Cold War.

I hate that we wanted co-op and they think of PvP, me and my friends always wanted to play together, but not like this I feel that these companies should just make a seperate game instead of using an existing series to make these games, if I have to play with people who I 99% of the time will have to fight I'm not buying it

Gosh, I would love to have a good enough pc to be able to play this with my friends because although I'm late to the party, I've been playing Fallout 4 a lot in the past 2 weeks and I think adding multiplayer is a great thing

If you don't lose what ever you build as you switch servers then what if you build somewhere and someone else did the same thing on their server? I see that as a huge problem. If there is an auto join with no server join option this this will most likely be a problem that two players will build in the same spot and join same game server with all their progress saved. I see a lot of bugs with that, or you'll lose your base build save then. Idk I just see that as a problem with no server join option and all your stuff saved.

Shouldn’t the world be more destroyed than the other games if the bombs went off more recently?

I hope that getting the nuclear codes will be hard. Another thing to keep in mind is , if the rival player don't know where's you base they can't nuke you so is more funny, but thats my opinion tbh. Very excited to play this new fallout, really :)

I understand when you build something and leave the server, your building disappears until you come back on. But what would happen if you built something, left the game, another people built something in the same place, and you joined that server?? Would they collide? Would everyone’s computer break? Does the game specifically avoid this?

Considering the server thing where you connect to a different one almost every time, what if I have my base in one area and and some one in the server has their base in the same area. Would my base just spawn somewhere else?

It sounds like a great idea if you're a game developer. For us gamers it definitely has it set backs. The idea of working with others to create a real and functioning nuclear world sounds amazing! Its not going to turn out that way though. Almost all of these kind of games I've played all others want to do is kill players. So I'm going to spend hours scavenging, building, and having fun with others only to have it all ruined because some random kid and his 4 friends wanted to be be bounty hunters! Or I'm going to spend hours doing all of that with some friends and then I'm pretty much forced into waiting until they pop on again to play? Sounds great on paper but the real functionality of it is limited and narrow minded. I think Bethesda is assuming that 80% of people that play these types of games are good sports and want to work together and the other 20% are the unfriendly types who destroy everything. Its actually the other way around... I'm a diehard Fallout fan. These games have been a huge part of my life and I refused to think that a company that flourished off of single player games would do something like this. Its a new direction and its interesting but I have a lot of concerns.

So what happens when have your base built and u leave the game and it disappears and u join another game but in the location where u had it built someone else’s base is already in that location??

I reckon this is the best thing ever. I’ve wanted a multiplayer fallout game for ages and 76 is basically that. It’s seperate from the other fallout games given its title so it’s clear to me that there will be a fallout 5 without multiplayer. People don’t realise this is something new and different and is honestly so exciting. I’m looking forward to this

Funny thing, is if you get rare resources and stuff in the area of a nuke, depending on the amount of base damage it causes (probably not total destruction to limit griefing) you might WANT to get nuked - the nuked guy is going to have all of these ultra rare resources and mobs suddenly popping up right next door.

I just wanna build a cool settlement with my friends. I don't even want the chance that a 12 year old with a nuke can mess that up. They should have private co op servers.

‘You get your quests from terminals and holotapes’ Just Why? I love it when npcs give me quests, I can see how much this quest effects and how much it means to them through their dialogue and such. Such a let down, gonna pass for sure

Ok can someone explain how the base building work, if I build a base on a server and have a huge set up, when I get offline what happens to that base, since there is no server select how do I get all my base materials and structures, what if another player builds in the same spot as me, and I load into that server where does my base go?

I love direction for fallout but I’m worried about the pvp. I don’t want the close range fights to be long as hell where you have two teams wailing into each other for minutes on end and I don’t want further ranged fights to be over in seconds with one guy with a .50 cal shredding the opposition. I would also like to see a lot more power armor customization similar to the customization you had to your spartan in halo games. It would be cool to have your own uniquely designed power armor. Lastly I really hope there’s a bomb shelter, bomb siren, or nuke countermeasures (for end game bases) just so you’re not totally defenseless.

So if they do add private servers, that well be a really empty world with no npc's

I just want single player. That nuclear strike option is going to break whatever enjoyment the game provides. What's the point of setting up defenses when someone can just wipe it off the map with the push of a button? Screw Bethesda.

There's no raiders according to Todd I think why they removed the raiders is because you the players are the raiders and you can team up or go against each other it's like friendly raider vs common raiders

The "scorch beast" isn't a dragon. It's a bat. Aside from the visual distinctions, at one point in the trailer, we see it shoot circular waves out of its mouth, which seem to me like a clever play on the sonar waves bats use to navigate their environment at night! This makes me wonder if there will be various types of these flying beasts to reflect the various species of bats that are native to West Virginia, and also if these beasts might hunt primarily at night.

So how many people can play on a map? And do you have to be enemies with them? You probably mentioned it i just didnt hear

As a current Rust player with over 4k hours in the game I am really looking forward to how this game plays out. The thought of being able to sleep peacefully (to an extent) is comforting haha.
