Burning damage capacitors give +6 ammo capacity so 27 total. There is severe beta receiver which give more crit damage on top of +6 ammo capacity... this should be a pick if someone does not use prime capacitor

The ultracite laser actually is a bluish purple color and has lots of glowing bits on it. Really good looking actually. The visuals tend to bug out in game for some reason. Wish they didn’t.

I know this is a month old video but I wanted to mention that it seems “contextual ammo drops” for the ultracite laser have been fixed with the update Besthesda sent out on the 18th of April.

I wished they’d fix the ultracites inspection colors I love that blue and red color scheme but when you inspect it shows the standard green and silver as if you where looking at a regular laser gun

This was a very thorough review of the two and definitely makes it easier to choose between them. But I seriously need to know what perks you run for your commando build! I've only been playing 76 on xbox for a few months and the perk system still confuses me something awful and my commando is definitely not putting out the same damage stats you are.

I run a Full HP commando (no sneak) and i shred with the UC laser, dps is nice, vats and hipfire (i use normal cells tho bc the ammo machine makes em for free)

How the ultracite laser guns came to be is very interesting the brotherhood needing a new way to fight the scorch started reaching out to other factions for help and they got this help from the Responders the fire breather where also fighting the scorch in the ash heap and made a receiver for ballistic guns that gave them a blue flame but it had a huge flaw it did more damage to scorch but less damage to any thing not scorch so the brotherhood took the plans and began tinkering with it using ultracite and modified the receiver to work with their laser guns giving the gun a green laser boosting the damage against scorch and not having the less damage against non scorch enemies creating both the ultracite receivers and ammo

Wasn’t there a higher capacity mod that used to be available? If not they should definitely add one that increases capacity to 33 or even a flat 40.

Please correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that they share some of the mods you get from scrapping. The only thing different is the prime receiver mod.

Nice review 👍...I was excited to hear they buffed the Ultracite version but...the contextuele ammo dropping thing sadly puts me off it now lol. Maybe in the future they'll fix it but then again they maybe made it that way so your going to just need to craft the ammo. Time will tell but either way It's good to see some buffs for weapons...it's a good sign.

I have a quad laser sniper rifle. It's one of the weapons I use but my main one is a gauss rifle but it only holds 5 shots. My sniper rifle holds 99 if I'm not mistaken
