She’s typical 2nd generation Mexican fan living in U.S. when I lived in Mexico at a time when they were actually much better and had tons of talent the fans there were very skeptical and would never make such a ridiculous prediction. The real Mexican fans call the people living in the U.S. “pochos” who don’t really know traditional Mexican culture and don’t follow futbol and really have no knowledge in the sport as it relates to Mexico. Etc. she probably didn’t even watch the game and spent all her time on the phone texting, taking selfies and chatting with her homegirls who were not at the game. 😅😂 7-2? This is probably her first game ever. .

Having our guys playing in Europe is the move for sure. But the key word is PLAYING especially for the "youngins" as you say. MLS still has something to offer for giving the young guys professional minutes, but I think once the right European opportunity comes moving abroad is the right move

I agree with the guy that said this isn't a rivalry anymore, it's become an exercise in USMNT superiority, Brazil v Argentina is an international right now Argentina are continental and World champs, but you just know that Brazil will come again, and there'll be a back and forth over the years, I can't see the Mexico situation changing any time soon, there's nothing much in the youth ranks, if I was a Mexican fan I'd feel cheated by my own federation and the youth development infrastructure, the Mexico fans have been let down badly, in CONCACAF they've allowed the student to become the master

Can't disagree with too much here. And as fun as it is to dominate this matchup, it's probably not great for the USMNT either. The better the level/competition in our region the better for the team's development. At the end of the day, a strong Mexico would be a good thing for the USA to grow, but idk when El Tri be at that level again

@@supersubsoccer I've said to people before I hope CONMEBOL plays a bigger role in dealing with CONCACAF, I used to say it'd benefit Mexico playing more CONMEBOL opposition because they were easily on top in CONCACAF, now its the US who are on top in CONCACAF, it doesn't even have to be Brazil or Argentina, teams like Colombia, Uruguay and Ecuador would be a level up for the US in terms of opposition and South America isn't too far away for the US

to the guy talking about how liga mx players dont go to europe at 16:28 . its more or less the fault of the club owners who ask high transfer prices for their players that is above their quality. so european clubs get scared and dont make offers and those players just stagnate. Mexico basically has the Mexican Tax. like in the PL with the English Tax refering to english players where their transfer value doesnt match their quality. for MLS's case, they do the opposite and send players to europe on the cheap but with the benefit of them getting alot of experence playing in league, cup, continental matches. the outcome has already bore fruit due to America's quality improving on the national team within the past 2 decades

As a s South American I never thought that Mexico was a good team.But they always think there were so good And now America's are superior . They already passed them by million years. They're never gonna compete against them because they don't have the players. They never had.I heard somebody commented about Mexican players staying in Mexico and not going to European teams. The real reason is why they don't go to European teams because they don't have the skills and talent to be in Europe. The football in Mexico is not good if a European team wants you if because they see talent and they don't have that my European friends and Us South America. we never thought that Mexico is a challenge. team for none of us. That's why they don't go.They're the only ones that think they have a good team. know everybody knows they don't.

Everyone in this video overhyping this game and this rivalry. WE Mexicans show up to drink and some to be obnoxious because it makes us feel like we are being “patriotic” after fleeing our country. All these El TRI fans in this video never fled their country..... they are in their country. They are born US citizens or grew up in the USA benefiting from USA Government... yet they support EL Tri over the USMNT.... it's because of social norms... it was never cool to support the usmnt over el tri. Cause the umsnt sucked and our parents told us we must root for mexico. But now that the USMNT doesn't suck.... it's all about pride and ego with our culture. And this is coming from a proud 1st Gen mexican american. But I never fell for the BS and support USMNT over el tri from day one.

It’s a great rivalry. Good win! But U.S. had a harder time with Jamaica. In fact I’d argue talent-wise Mexico is behind Jamaica and maybe Canada right now . Those teams have not been consistent…but when healthy they are arguably better than Mexico. They have way more players playing in Europe for better clubs than Anything Liga MX puts out. Good win…but US needs to improve if they want to best the better S. American teams in Copa America.

Hard to argue against what you're saying, but I think you nailed it about those other Concacaf teams being inconsistent. I still feel Mexico has consistently shown to be the SECOND best team in the region, although it may not feel like it at times. Canada seemed to be vying for that spot but they've since fallen off a cliff it feels like, and Jamaica has talent but they run so hot and cold sometimes.

I’m not against Mexico. Let me be clear. Their country and their people are remarkable in many ways. A very beautiful country with rich history, incredible culture, food and traditions. Probably one of the most hard working people you’ll ever encounter, who will go above and beyond. However….However, my dislike and hate for their national soccer team is through the roof, I cannot stand them, cannot tolerate them, their national fanbase are the most annoying, abhorrent, repugnant, distasteful and obnoxious in soccer and it was a joy seeing them lose.

Hmmmm…. I may be one of the only ones who remembers USA beating Argentina 3-0 in 1995 Copa America. US lost to Brazil 1-0 in The semi finals. And US made it to the semi finals in the 2016 Copa America after beating Ecuador in the 1/4 finals. So…there’s that 😮😂😅

The reason why US fans are so happy is the same reason Mexico fans use to talk all sorts of shit my entire childhood until about the 2000s. Mexico use to dominate us until after the 94’ World Cup. Before that the US usually had semi pro and college kids playing for the national team.. it was never taken seriously. Since 2000 the USA is 19-9-8 against Mexico… since 2000 both nations have 6 Gold Cups to their names. Mexico has more overall due to them actually having talent pre 2000s. What US fans hate is that Mexico fans will never admit we are better, which we clearly are.. mainly due to the worst generation of Mexico players. That use to be the usmnt…. So when it happens to Mexico the fans can’t handle it. Too many want to throw things and fight after the game. That has been a staple in Mexico national games since I started going in the 90s. Too much pride to admit the truth. In my opinion Mexico blew their opportunity with the last generation to actually do something on the world stage. That was the overall most talented group of Mexico players to be on a team. Of course Mexico has had better player like Hugo Sanchez and Jared Borgetti. But from position to position was the best Mexico has had. And they blew it, mainly due to corruption within the federation. And even with that talent the USA still held their own against that team. The USA was only 1 generation into investment in the sport, now we are 2 generations in and the talent is way better and will continue to get better. Mexico has to play catch up and they better hurry up.

Why would other Latinos root for Mexico? Mexico is obnoxious and treats central Americans like trash in soccer and they live or are born in the USA. Of course they will root for the US, they are also the better team lol
