"House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series. A prequel to Game of Thrones (2011-2019), it is the second show in the franchise, created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO. Both series are based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by Martin. Condal and Miguel Sapochnik are the showrunners. Based on parts of the novel Fire & Blood, the series is set about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, and 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen. It portrays the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen war of succession, known as the "Dance of the Dragons"

Peeved that we could’ve seen Sunfyre at the coronation and still had a scene of Rhaenys confronting the Greens of that was so important. Just imagine the pit being opened to let out Sunfyre and Dreamfyre but Rhaenys comes out on Meleys first. She could’ve scared the Greens and flown off without killing anybody. And I hope they don’t dull Tessarion’s color too much.

Sunfyre and Tessarion were incredible for their young age and loyal to their riders. I love Vhagar, but I was expecting more from her. It's sad that Dreamfyre didn't fight at all, I hope in the show she will be protecting the capital ( Sunfyre and Tessarion fought without their riders,so I don't think Dreamfyre would be useless without Helaena)

I understand wanting to focus the show on the Alicent and Rhaenyra relationship but not showing one of the most important dragons of the Dance (and that of the leader of the Greens anyway) in the first season seems stupid to me.

Besides, they obviously wanted to paint Aegon as an asshole and if people still liked him anyway, imagine how much liked would he have been if the public saw him on Sunfyre *The Golden* when Syrax looks so washed out.

How come? He is hardly with Aegon during the war, then he just so happens goes home to Dragonstone at the end. He never went to Aegon, Sunfyre made his lair in a cave. Aegon went to find him.

We should have seen Sunfyre and Dreamfyre launch themselves from the cliff, and then Vhagar.... the idea we got robbed from that scene makes me sad. it would have made much more sense so we associate the Greens with their dragons. Now we just have had a look to the Black's dragon and Vhagar.

Sunfyre "Golden Dragon" has yellow golden Fire breather... Vhagar, the last living Dragon from Aegon the conqueror the Largest andn Battle Harden Dargon...Dreamfyre, the mother of Danaeyrs Dragons (Drogon, rhaegal and viserys) and Tessarion the Blue Queen Dragon ride by Daeron.. To be honest whoever came up with that 'green dragon banner' idea should be fired. Do they really think so low of their audience, that we wouldn't understand who the 'Greens' are if they don't literally color everything about them green? It's also a really stupid move to do that if you want to claim to be the rightful Targaryen successor, Otto would never be dumb enough to make the Greens look like the fake pretender Targaryens by changing their iconic dragon color because Alicent wore a green dress 20 years ago without any reason.

But that was only Otto’s ship. Aegon had a golden dragon banner during his coronation. They’re going to be using it for Aegon. I’m guessing the green banner was flying because it wasn’t Aegons ship yet it was still someone from the green faction.

I agree. I want to believe that "the Green Dragonbanner" is the personal banner of Otto, granted by the king to his granfather to use on his behalf or something like that... I am thinking this since at Aegon's coronation we saw the Golden Dragon in the back (which gives me hope), which was Aegon's personal banner in the war against the blacks who had a divided banner with houses arryn and Velaryon in it.

@@Alejojojo6 I hope you are right and they will just forget about that stupid 'green dragon' line entirely next season. It's just nonsense for any banner to have a green dragon. Because 'Greens' was just what they were colloquially called due to Alicent's famous dress (same for Rhaenyra and the blacks) but they never identified with the color so strongly that it officially represented them or carried any significant meaning to them. Otto's personal banner really shouldn't feature any dragon at all, as he is not a Targaryen, instead he would display the white on grey sigil of the High Tower of Oldtown. But the idea that Otto was like "shoot, Viserys finally kicked the bucket. Time to steal the throne and immediately recolor the Targaryen sigils on our ships to match my daughter's dress colors for some reason, so that everyone understands that we are not the true, rightful Targaryens but the fake pretenders", is just too absurd to me. There is really no good in-universe reason why anyone would do that. When Aegon styled his personal sigil with a golden dragon, he did so to honor his dragon Sunfyre, wich emphasizes his identity as a Targaryen and dragonlord. And most importantly Aegon and Rhaenyra only personalized their banners because both sides carrying the default Targaryen sigil led to confusion on the battlefield. But initially of course both claimed the classic Targaryen red on black dragon because they both wanted to stress that they are the rightful heirs and claimants to the Targaryen throne.

I only hope that shrykos and morghul are not cut off from the show We will be okay with only one or two scenes of 😢 Since George said that there are LIKE 17 dragons and daemon counted them all which did not involve stormcloud,shrykos and morghul and probably morning has been cut too😢

Not going to lie Sunfire is probably the toughest dragon in the entire Dance of the Dragons. A Sunfire can't be kept down. I think it is similar to its rider. Both are critically wounded. And both rise again to Vanquish their enemies.

Ok, Sunfyre is the most beautiful dragon ever seen, but 2 compare black vs. green U must rate the “fighting power” of Sunfyre against Moondancer/Vermax Same age dragons, but Sunfyre spends most of the time in the dragon pit, while Moondancer/Vermax can do whatever they want at Dragonstone + Driftmark. Therefore: Advantage team black 🤔

Sorry I don't want to spoil you but Sunfyre would wipe the floor with these dragons. He is stronger and larger, more comparable to Seasmoke than Moondance or Vermax. And Aegon presumably rides him often, they just don't show it

@@panic_2001 Oh come on even a wounded and crippled Sunfyre tore Moondancer to pieces. Sunfyre is described as larger and stronger than Moondancer / Vermax and by his descriptions and feats alone it's clear he is the far more formidable dragon. That Sunfyre's growth was somehow stunted by the dragonpit is just your headcanon and I don't see any point in arguing against the source material. Sunfyre is clearly in a different league, I would rate him above Vermax, Moondancer or Arrax, about equal to Seasmoke and Tessarion but below Caraxes and Meleys.
