"House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series. A prequel to Game of Thrones (2011-2019), it is the second show in the franchise, created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO. Both series are based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by Martin. Condal and Miguel Sapochnik are the showrunners. Vhagar is awesome but in the books I fell in love with Caraxes, Melys, and Sheepstealer. I wish they would show more demonstrating how fast and badass Melys is. The first time they show her we do got a very brief glimpse of her speed.

I wish they would have done the accurate look for Dreamfyre. It was said that Dreamfyre “was not bred for war”. Yet in the show she looks like Drogon to show that she’s his mother. But we know that the t-Rex skull type dragons are bred for war. I always wondered what a pacifistic dragon would look like.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Dreamfyre older than Vermithor? According to the ASoIaF wiki Dreamfyre is at least 2 years older, having belonged to Rhaena Targaryen who was 11 years older than Jaehaerys. The Cannibal is likely older than Vermithor as well.

I appreciate channels saying when their video is spoiler-free immensely. I finally hopped onto the GOT bandwagon very late. I’m talking, I watched ep1 of HOTD, loved it, watched all of GOT, then went and watched HOTD. I am very new to the series, and because of that knew most major plot points in GOT already (Jon’s death being the biggest- internet blew up during that). I remember bits and pieces of what characters in GOT have said about the past, alluding to events and characters during the Dance. So now I get to go into HOTD blind and only knowing what I remember from GOT. I’m so pumped for next season, I have the most barebones idea of what will happen and I can’t wait. I think it would be cool if the bond between dragon and rider was somewhat akin to Big Daddies and Little Sisters in Bioshock. They have a bond so strong they can’t live without each other and the early models of them only bonded once for life. If an early model Big Daddy gets separated from his Little Sister, they both essentially fall into a coma until reunited. Imagine Seasmoke becoming lethargic, refusing to eat or fly, etc. Same for Laenor as well. Love your videos so much, keep going. Your growth is earned.

Imagine if cannibal is one of the four other dragon's the targeryens came to westeros with but then went wild after its rider died But he was probably already there when the targs arrived so whatever.....

@@rohaankhan7523 I always thought that it was a case of mistaken identity. They probably saw the black dread flying around and years later they see the cannibal who’s also black. The size of the young black dread and the older Cannibal would be similar. But that doesn’t explain why they’d see sightings of him before the Targaryens officially came over. But Dragonstone was an outpost for the Targaryens when they lived in Valyria for 600 years. It’s only logical to think they’d fly dragons across the narrow sea when they visited the outpost. Balerion and the Cannibal most probably weren’t the only black dragons to visit the island.

Killing a dragon would just be putting ideas out there. People knew about the existence of the Cannibal and they’d probably notice if someone killed him. It could just make house Targaryen appear weak. Aegon the conqueror had to scorch Dorne after the Death of Meraxes and Rhaenys, if I’ve learnt anything it’s that house Targaryen doesn’t like when you make them appear weak. It could also be a sign of respect. Dragons are house Targaryen and house Targaryen are dragons. Unless it came to war then I doubt they’d want to kill a dragon. Plus although he was eating hatchlings they still had more than enough dragons to go around. They were in an era where they could afford to waste a few eggs. Most of the time the important eggs were put in cradles. If the cannibal didn’t eat the young wild hatchlings then they could turn into more “cannibals” which would endanger the tamer smaller dragons. The cannibal could have been acting as a natural predator to reduce the number of wild dragons. More wild dragons would also mean more attacks and less food. Sorry for the rant, just throwing some thoughts out lol.

Not to spoil the book twists, but wouldn't it be somber if they find people who could try claiming dragons and they wouldn't consider Seasmoke up for grabs because they know Leanor didn't die (they would put show that they do though), but then, someone claims Seasmoke and Rhaenyra and Daemon have a realisation that something bad happened to Leanor in Essos... which is not impossible since Leanor was travelling incognito and would need to earn his living with fighting. So we get the book plot developing as per book while keeping show's fake death.
