Fast Fix - Replacing the Ranger's Blend Door

Жыл бұрынJust a short video showing how I replaced the blend door on the Ranger. No matter what position I set the temperature dial to, I only got hot air. This ended up being the fix, and only took an hour or two.
The part is pretty cheap, I think I only paid 20 dollars or so for it.

Also what dremel did you use? I dont have one to do this job and was wondering if any dremel could work or if need a strong one

My Dremel is the absolute base model. Nothing fancy. I think it was like $70? BUT, check for a store brand or other cheaper option. I think Menards sells a "rotary tool" which works the same way for $20-30.

@@nowakoutside Thanks for the reply didnt want to get something so cheap it either mutilated the plastic or didnt cut through it at all.

What did you use to break the door with

Honestly I can't remember, it's been a while. I think it was a pair of side-cutters that were a decent size so I could get through the plastic.

Remove the glove box and you can get to it no problem

Wait so you don't have to cut it or take the dash out? Mine just broke yesterday. Tested the actuator and it still works but I have it on excellent authority the blend door isn't moving
