Instead of a custom tray , i went to my sports shop and bought a mouldable mouth gaurd people use in contact sports. Heat that puppy up with boiling hot water, bite down. You now have a cast of your own teeth to apply whitening paste with for a fraction of the price a dentist will charge you for a custom tray.

Whitening strips are dangerous and cause lots of pain. Use lemon, ginger, baking soda, white vinegar or peroxide and toothpaste. Mix them all together and brush it onto your teeth like normal and bam, insta white healthy teeth. Or use the teeth Whitening light crest makes called crest whitening emulsions. The best way to whiten your teeth is either whitening strips as long as you avoid getting saliva on your teeth by not talking, keep smiling, and reading the instructions to properly get your teeth white. The other way is a whitening tray which takes a bit longer because you would need to talk to your dentist to get a custom tray but this would be a lot better than the strips because you can avoid getting saliva on your teeth a lot better. Charcoal whitening is very damaging because you lose your enamel over time which exposes your dentin and the dentin has a more yellow tint. Whitening pens and whitening lights arent that great either so your best bet is whitening tray or whitening strips

I'm confused about the difference between the home kit with the blue light and the custom tray made by your dentist. Yes, I get that the custom tray is better fitting, but it appears to use the same gel that the home kit uses and doesn't use any blue light at all. From my understanding, the light at the dentist's office may be stronger than the home kit, but that simply means that it can be used for a shorter amount of time than the home kit. The home kit blue light isn't as strong as the dentist's for safety reasons. I am currently using a blue light home kit and can see results after the first 7 uses.

Just to note I have read you are not supposed to brush with charcoal. Instead you just apply it and let it soak up your stains... I have tried that without brushing and it worked great!!!

This is what I was thinking, apply and let sit without rubbing much then swish rinse a ton. Glad that’s worked for you!

Honestly... you’re kinda pushing me towards looking into becoming a dentist/dental hygienist. I’ve always thought that it was just a cool, normal job to have. But.. the more I look into it, the more fascinating I find it. My dream job is being a Zoologist, but I definitely wanna keep watching and keep looking into this to see if this is what I *really* wanna pursue. Thank you so much!!! and I was just wondering this one question. Is it okay for my teeth to feel a teeeenyyyy bit “chalky/rough?” Just a bit ^^

I am so happy you said whitening strips are one of the two best at home whitening systems! I had bought a box (Target brand). I looked for the FDA approval, just now, and didn't find it :( . But, I'm going to give them a try. I appreciate the tip to keep my mouth open and breathe. I'll do that. Thank you! xo~linda

Great video, thanks for the heads up on the charcoal 👀 I was wondering, I recently bought bamboo toothbrushes with "charcoal infused bristles" (didn't even realize till after I bought them, I just wanted to try bamboo), but I definitely noticed a grey-ish color when I spit after using them....do you know anything about charcoal infused bristles? If I'm seeing grey when I spit, is it probably damaging my enamel like a charcoal toothpaste?

Hi Whitney! :) What's your recommandations (do-s and don't-s) after a teeth whitening treatment? The patient can eat immediately after the whitining process? How many days should they avoid bold black coffee for example? What kind of toothpaste do you usually recommand? Always with fluoride and IF the treatment cause sensitivity, do you recommand more special paste for sensitivity but it's not necessary? I am curious about your opinion. ✌❤🦷 Thanks for your videos and amazing work! ☺☺

thank you for being here! great question! from my research - charcoal bristles are very different from using activated charcoal product on your teeth. the soft bristles are intended to have an antimicrobial-reducing effect opposed to "whitening" teeth. hope this helps!

I’ve been using the “hello” charcoal toothpaste for a few months now, kind of frightening to learn I may have been damaging my teeth. 😳I suppose I should just use regular toothpaste for a bit before I can find a better solution.

How much use of a charcoal one would you roughly have to have used to get to the dentin and no longer be suitable for teeth whitening? I’d say I’ve probably used the charcoal one once a day for a week. No sensitivity also as far as I can tell
