Hi there!
Welcome to this "Fat burning 30 Min HIIT Walk for Seniors, Beginners!"
This pyramid HIIT workout has 4 sets of 4 exercises in a pyramid format. The 4 exercises in each set are done in a sequence of 20, 30, 40, and 50 seconds (Exercise 1 is 20 seconds, Exercise 2 is 30 seconds, etc.) Then we go back down the pyramid 50 seconds for Exercise 1, 40 seconds for Exercise 2, etc. You’ll rack up 3600 steps, more or less depending on our pace in this workout that is for all levels.
HIIT workouts (high intensity interval training) burn more calories than steady state exercise during and after exercising. A study of sedentary women compared 20 minutes of HIIT with 40 minutes of steady-state exercise - The HIIT subjects were the only ones who lost fat-primarily belly fat. Awesome!

I love watching you both and engaging with you. I used to do 30+ minutes of HIIT every day until a few months ago. They feel I have hyperthyroidism which zapped all my energy. I've talked to many people about meds for it & it doesn't work so I'm taking a holistic approach & my energy is slowly returning! When I see your mom keeping up with you she inspires me! I only got to do 20 minutes today so far, but this is a milestone for me! I'll be 68 next month & I want to be my old me! Thanks for your inspiring workouts!

I can't do a full 30 minute workout so I break it down. Sometimes my mornings are so busy, I may be able to put in 5 minutes. I am trying to do more. Thank you for the workouts as it is easy and not too strenuous to do.

I can not tell you how much you and your beautiful amazing mom have saved my life. I have been and still are very poorly heart failure kidney failure and lung failure. Recently came out of hospital after my body shut down for the 2nd time last year. Anyway my muscles were in a really bad way and I could barely walk as was my stamina and strength. However after discovering your channel I am now able to keep up with your darling mom ( although she is still using heavier weights than me as I’m still on 1.5 ) Love what you are doing. Subscriber

I've been doing your workouts 5 or 6 days a week for 3 weeks now. I look forward to them, and love that I can choose a ten minute workout on the days when I don't have the time or energy to do more. I really loved this one, thanks so much! You make fitness so accessible, regardless of your age or fitness level, and for that I thank you. I have to add that all the balance work I've been doing for 3+ years did not save me from falling 11 days ago. LOL. I was walking in a park, camera in hand, head up and looking at the apple trees, didn't notice the crumbled asphalt. Down I went on my shins, and my left one is still bruised from the knee to the ankle. Luckily I didn't break or sprain anything! (That'll teach me to watch where I'm walking!) 😀

Oh my! Taking a tumble is not fun and it certainly could have been worse! While you think your balance work didn't do much for you it actually helped your body to absorb the fall without serious injury. Hey. I never been able to get fit because I find exercise beyond boring and I usually end up giving up because I'm too bored to do it. I had been trying different things again over the last year but not finding anything that could keep me moving, then your walk dance work out popped up in my feed and now I been at it for 2 months. That's the longest I ever been able to keep exercising. The constant changing exercises prevents my brain from reaching the point where it go booooring. Took a bit of time to find out how much I could handle though, this one seems about right for now. Currently I'm doing alternate days of this and light running as I wasn't sure if doing this every day would be too much. Anyway really happy, I found your channel. Thank you for making something that could motivate me to start moving and keep moving.
