It's a shame how bad that o-line and WR group was that year. Favre never had a chance. Losing his deep threat in Rice was a big time loss.
@kennyhoang40886 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but I thought the o-line was pretty decent with 4/5 being decent starters. I didn't start watching until 2013 so correct me if I'm wrong.

Well our receivers have been up and down since the Carter/Moss years. We've had some excellent receivers but not many that have been good (and remained on our team) year in and year out. Obviously Harvin was an explosive player. And Visanthe Shiancoe had some good years. I don't know that I'd single out this year as being worse than any other but we've had some sketchy years in general around this time. We miss Cordarrell Patterson!!
@joelmcnultymusic6 жыл бұрын
If you didn't start watching until 2013, why would you think your opinion would be even remotely correct? The entire offense, not just the O-Line was depleted that year.

The last time Brett favre was Brett favre. I’ve never cried for a football player especially on a team I don’t even root for but he had just done a Brett favre td fireman carry vs the bears and then gets dropped on his head in Minnesota’s frozen tundra. I still can’t believe that was his last snap. That’s what it took to finally get Brett off the field.

@@dreconic4355 it was unfortunate adrain Peterson was a turn over machine Brett would have had he's second Super Bowl ring if Peterson didn't fumble the ball a lot.. 2009 was Brett Favre's best season ever statistically Brett Favre played good for even he's standards.. and brett Favre was really good before that to.. I think the reason Favre had such a great season because the Vikings were way more talented than green Bay but the Vikings had horrible QB's for a long time all they needed was a QB and Brett Favre just let up the 2009 season...

It took about seven years since they missed in 2003, but the Vikings sure got their revenge on the Cardinals with a comeback victory of their own courtesy of Favre. Minnesota didn't have a winning season in 2010, but the comeback vs. Arizona certainly was sweet music from the Vikings' standpoint.

Ooh this season was such a Twilight Zone year for me. Now I am a LIFE-LONG Packers fan, however as a kid I grew up watching Fran Tarkenton throw to Sammy White. Chuck Foreman was a brutal RB. The 70's Vikings were one of my childhood teams. I also liked the Miami Dolphins(Bob Griese) and San Diego Chargers(Dan Fouts). So I have been a previous Vikings fan. I am NOT a fan who HATES our "rivals". I enjoy the rivalries. What our FOUR TEAMS has is incredible. The Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions....the Black and Blue division. That name fits so well. The Purple People Eaters were brutal in the 70's. The Bears in the 80's and Green Bay in the 90's. The 2000's-present has been EVERYONE. I would LOVE to go to Minnesota and see a game. But so many IDIOT FANS can be obnoxiously brutal if your cheering for the away team, and YES Lambeau has those IDIOTS TOO. To cheer for your team is one thing BUT to pick a fight or belittle another person because they are wearing a "different" jersey is CHILDISH on a PLAYGROUND LEVEL. GTFU--GROW THE F**K UP!! It's a F**KING GAME MORONS. This is also for the Lambeau IDIOTS as well. This goes for ALL the SUPPOSED FANS who think that being a fan includes fighting with opposing fans, 💡-it makes you look like a jackass NOT A FAN. Go on You Tube and look up Drunken fan ruins game. That's EXACTLY what they do, THEY RUIN GAMES. I have a friend who was born in Minnesota. He loves the Vikings. I was born in Wisconsin and I love the Packers. Yeah we jab at each other but NEVER in a hurtful way. Again IT'S A GAME. And yes I know our division probably has one of the MOST PASSIONATE & LOYAL FANBASES IN THE NFL, let's have FUN!!
