Thx for uploading this game 🙏 FDU was my mom's other alma mater before she went to Rutgers. I was in shock when I found out they won !

Was at the game, was my first time seeing the tournament in person. I had a gut feeling going into the game that FDU was gonna upset Purdue. My parents were at the UMBC upset, and they got witness both 16 seed upsets in person, it was the most exciting basketball game I have ever seen.

@@davidgivins4203 FDU didn’t even win their conference tournament and lost to a team that won 2 total games this season and is being relegated to D3 next year. Plus Purdue had the POTY in Edey and one of the tallest rosters in the country. FDU was the smallest. The FDU over Purdue upset was way worse.

@@gauravagochiya4218 Virginia lost to UMBC by TWENTY points. Purdue lost by five the odds for the UMBC game was 20.5 as UNDERDOGS, and they COVERED the spread the odds for the FDU game was 23.5 and they didn’t cover, but won the game Virginia’s record was 31-3 Purdue’s record was 29-7 Virginia was #1 overall seed by a wide margin Purdue was #4 as a #1 seed UMBC net ranking in 2018 was 204, after the win it jumped to 155 FDU net ranking in 2023 was 301, after the win it jumped to 271. trust me the stats may say different but UMBC was definitely worse

@@GoatedAtNFS fdu had to play in the first four with a much worse record than umbc 19-15 then they didn’t even win their conference tournament and they are the shortest team in the ncaa vs the tallest umbc was ranked like 160 in the net and fdu was like 361 out of 362 teams

Even though I was picking Purdue to win this game and was upset they lost, Fairleigh Dickinson earned every bit of this moment. I didn’t get to watch the UMBC over Virginia upset but I was so happy to still watch this historic moment on live TV.

This was an amazing game as another 16 seed defeats a 1 seed in tournament history! Way to go FDU!!! I hope next year to see a 16 seed to get past the 2nd round and go their first ever Sweet 16 appearance!

I see. This is the game where everyone has let the open disrespect for Edey infect them. In fact his supporting guards did a very poor job. They are a lot better this year.

This year made their first Final Four since 1980 and first national championship since 1969 and while they may have lost to UConn, at least they bounced back in a big way even if they didn’t win it all like 2019 Virginia.

I was there at the game waiting to see FAU and the crowd was stunned after they lost and FDU fans were going crazy. I didn't care who won won, I was thinking about FAU match up

Not athletic and can’t shoot. U got to beat him off the dribble and be physical with him and get him in foul trouble. So far this year no one has been able to stop it. I need to see teams take him out of the paint

When Purdue was up 6 and looked like they were finally pulling away, that one foul they committed which turned into an and-one most certainly swung the momentum back into the Knights’ favor and once Moore hit that 3 pointer for them to go up 61-56 with over a minute to go, I just knew it was over, I sensed that was the dagger and Purdue just didn’t have anything left after that.

terrible coaching. From 3 your team is cold as Absolute Zero. Drive to the basket or pull up for short to mid jumpers. Or if I'm an idiot, Coach, have a plan B. But, Coach, you keep doin the same thing. And, Coach, ever heard of team rebounding; Every player on your team should have gone had for every defensive rebound, not stand still and wait for the ball to hit them in the hands. I'm not a Purdue fan but watching such poor coaching is painful.

Purdues lack of postseason success can be attributed to how differently they’re officiated in the tourney. The amount of times a Purdue guard sets a screen and then flops when the defender makes contact with them is ridiculous. They get those soft calls in conference but, like at the end of this game (1:24:00), not in the tournament. It’s not just the players, coach painter teaches them those bs principles.

I don't really watch Big Ten basketball, but I always had a feeling the refs called softer fouls than in other conferences. It would explain why the Big Ten has gone almost a quarter century without a championship, meanwhile the Big East and the ACC have each won 8 in that timespan.

He left for Iona who are a fairly regular tournament presence but always one and done, they haven’t won a tournament game since 1980 and that was their only time ever.

There is only one true INDIANA basketball team, and thats IU...5 national titles. Purdue has zero titles and what 1 appearnance in the title game, and that was before it was expanded to 64 teams. 3 straight years with losses to double digit seeds and 4 losses in the last 7 years coming into this year. Edey is WAAAYY too slow abd cannot shoot 3s to be any kind of real threat. and Purdon't chokes time and time again. 😂😂 And don't give me this "well IU hasn't won since 87", so what Purdue has NEVER won.

Purdue has lost to every single double digit seed except for a 14 so they have that against them also. They have made only two Final Fours (1969, 1980) and only made the national championship one time in 1969 so that further goes along with how lacking they’ve had tournament success. Also Indiana has the last undefeated season back in 1976 so they have that going for them as well which will be very difficult to replicate.

Terribly officiated game down the stretch. On that out of bounds at 30 seconds FDU player was fouled on the wrist. Then the FDU player on next possession steam rolls Purdue player on the screen. I’m glad Purdue lost but college refs are trash
