With the dozens of times we've seen the Triolet mixer, I had no idea how BIG the danged thing was until the shot of you inside it with a push broom. The size is deceptive from the outside. Another thing to learn! Looking forward to your sharing another season of silage. Thanks for doing this.

The cows look like they know the color difference of the feeder. They typically have their heads out and start eating but they actually kept their heads back and looking at it like they were trying to figure out what was going on.

Yeah that new feeder is definitely not Philly red; suspicion sets in.

Cows are so curious about anything new it seems. They were truly taking it all in and deciding if its all good. Makes me wonder if they see colors and the blue threw them off.
@diarmuid8583 жыл бұрын
@@Lrussel5 yes. Our cows notice when we hang up a shovel in a different place, and come over to smell it to make sure it’s the same shovel. No kidding.

Hey! We have a 620 just like that! Ended up taking the conveyor off for a few reasons. 1 It was too wide and it was a matter of time till it got hit. 2 Way faster unload times. 3 Less hydraulics. 4 Less things to break. But if you need it to get over a curb or something then thats beside the point!

It’s amazing how the farming season varies so much throughout the world. Here in Ireland harvest is over for most of the farms almost a month, you only started harvesting this week and in Minnesota they have a week or two to go yet
@Brian-vd4mg3 жыл бұрын
Ireland is the size of the State of Indiana so unless you have traveled the US most folks from Europe have no idea how big the Country is. US has Cold Hardy Zones 3-11, so lots of variation in the timing of harvest.

Nice video! I think you have to test an self propelled feed mixer. Here in Germany the most farmers in the same size than your farm got such a machine. In my opinion this would save you a lot of time. You dont have to switch between tractor and skid loader. You can load with it all your grain, dry hay and corn silage. Best regards from germany 👍

The cows weren’t sure of the new big blue machine 😊 to bad you just couldn’t get a bigger version of the red one😟 I’m thinking in the long run this won’t be a good fit. But of course that decision is based from my couch 🛋 Lol 😂
@ennoriemersma733 жыл бұрын
Hello Eric, thanks for the video. The new mixer seems to empty out much better than the old one did. Looks you have an other job to do next to the corn silage the coming week (putting in an extra slab of concrete). Hopefully the recovery of your father is still going well. Greetings from Holland.
@MrTdogg1753 жыл бұрын
For the last little bit of stones left on the bag a decent sized leaf blower would clean it up pretty quickly they wouldn’t fling very far but you wouldn’t have anything left on the bag and all the stone dirt and dust would come off too! I’m a landscaper and we often have to blow gravel and dirt off of driveways so I think it would work well on the plastic bag after you scraped the bulk of it off with the skid steer!
@gopher83103 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you purchased the patz or not with the lag time in videos from when you film to when you post but, I would strongly encourage you to check out other mixers as well. We own a patz mixer and will never own another one. The biggest problem I have with a patz is that when the auger/screw gets worn down just alittle, they do not mix up all the ingredients. We have tried many different things with kicker plates and tried putting different ingredients in at different times, still the same results. And unfortunately our dealer is no help along with the company. Not going to recommend a brand, but definitely do your research.

I was never a fan of unloading on the left. Everything in the tractor is oriented on the right. We run a 2400 trioliet with the 2 speed automatic gearbox. Fluffy loads (lots of dry feed) and small loads all get mixed in high. Heavy loads the small inclusion ingredients get loaded first and mixed in high speed. Then when we add the forages when it reaches the set points it shifts to low speed. Unloading it will automatically shift up again at a given set point so it unloads nice and even.

Hey if you don't like the conveyor on the mixer you could always switch it out with a hydraulic slide. Thats what we have and it works nice with less moving parts. Unless you need to dump over something tall. Just a thought, good vids man!

Have a look at BvL V-Mix wagons.. I'm an Ag mechanic and ex dairy farmer in New Zealand. Trust me BvL is the best, in durability, reliability, and mixing. They outlast everything here. Not the.cheapest usually but you are paying for quality. So many options for setup if buying new. I would recommend a 20H-2s with manual side chute
