BlackSeaRC presents the first video in a series looking at the FeiYue FY-03H (FY03H) Desert Eagle 1:12 scale Ready-To-Run (RTR) radio controlled (RC) off-road buggy. The FY-03H is a higher-spec version of the basic FY-03 Eagle and is powered by a brushless motor and has upgraded parts including a 45A metal case waterproof ESC, high-torque steering servo, and a full set of metal bearings. It features 4WD with front and rear differentials (with metal gears). The buggy uses independent wishbone suspension at the front and a solid axle with 4-link suspension at the rear. Coil spring shock absorbers are used all round. A 2.4GHz fully-proportional radio control system is provided. It comes with two settings - a high performance mode or a "children's" setting where performance is restricted. The FY-03H even comes with anodized metal body panels rather than plastic components.
This hobby grade RTR racing buggy offers high performance and a good specification at a very competitive price making it a popular choice for those looking for an entry-level machine. But what should you expect to get for your money? In this video, BlackSeaRC unboxes the buggy and then shows all the features in close-up detail. In the follow-up video, the FY-03H will be powered-up and subjected to functional and performance testing.
Furthermore, in future videos, we shall install an optional 6-piece LED lighting kit and investigate what other upgrade parts are available. For fans of scale realistic RC vehicles, we will also look at what options are available to further improve the realism.
