Dr Sklar, I have been following you for 2 years. Thank you for your fertility tv channel. I love it! Regarding the IUI question - which medication are you referring to apart from progesterone? Estrogen? Any others? My endocrinologist has suggested using Clomid with iui if we want to try naturally but is not very about TTC naturally or iui at my age with my Amh :( I have regular 28/29 day cycles, last hormone panel was fsh 9.1, lh 4.8, est 64, Amh 0.23 ( my amh was 0.21 in 2020, it went up to 0.38 in Jan and is back at 0.23 now) I’m 46. I’ve cleaned up my diet and am trying to do as much as I can to eat and live fertile. I do regular red light therapy from cycle day 1 till just before I ovulate. I can’t afford acupuncture at the moment. Is it still worth me trying to conceive naturally? My partner and I have been trying since Aug 2023. Anything you could suggest? Or should I go ahead with ivf and transfer the last frozen embryo I have? Thank you Dee 🙏🏽

Hi dr, I have one doubt. I have regular period's but my flow is irregular. For example 1st, 2nd day flow is high and 3rd day my period flow is stop and then 4th, 5th day periods flow is start slightly. This is normal or not

I had 2 miscarriages, doctor said to just keep trying, I pushed for further testing and just received a call and was told I have chromosome abnormality called “Reciprocal Translocation “ Can I still carry a full term pregnancy with a healthy baby? Can fallopian tube block after medical induced abortion on 5th week of conception? If it is done under supervision of gynaecologist by taking pills. Also, rpoc has done to confirm if there are no retention product of conception. It was all good. Still any chance of tube blockage due to this?!

I have unexplained infertlity, 36 years old. All labs normal had sonohystogram normal. Husband semen anyalsis normal. Next step my RE told me shes gonna start me on baby aspirin, progesterone meds and she scheduled me endometrium biopsy...if that doesnt work she wants to start me on clomid with iui( eventhough i ovulate montly) my last progesterone was 8.5. What else do you recommend? Or do u think my RE is doing the right steps? Thank you.

Is a high sperm count with very low motility rate a cause for concern? We’ve been trying to get pregnant for almost a year. I have endometriosis, but my husband’s doctor told him that because his sperm count is so high that is not interfering with infertility even though his motility is low. Is that true? Even if his motility rate is very low?

Cycle length is 24-25 days, ovulating monthly , cycle is consistent. I noticed my bleed went from 3 to 2 days and now 1 with spotting before and after for 1 day or two. Help! Thoughts? TIA.

Simply Tanika has an old video with her supplement list that improved her FSH/egg health dramatically in a short space of time. Try adding a third party tested NMN approx 600mg-1000mg too if you're desperate. But I'm not a doctor, just saying what I found helpful.

Do ovulation tests really works? I have tested for 2 cycles and had an intercourse day before and on ovulation day but didn’t conceive. I have regular cycles and ovulation tests were positive and my tsh, fsh, a1c every thing is in normal range. With my first pregnancy I conceived in 1st cycle only. I am eating healthy foods like nuts, fruits, organic vegetables.

They are usually accurate. 2 cycles of trying is a short time, keep trying with your LH tests.

I've been supplementing with progesterone for the past four months and doctor has been testing progesterone at peak+7 days (she tells me to not take the progesterone the night before my blood draw so she can see what my body is producing on its own) but so far i have not been able to get above 9.7 - is it even possible to get pregnant with that level?

You can get pregnant with that level, but for me, I would test while you were taking it. I would want to see what your body was producing with it.

Sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with your fasting advice. Based on the evidence of how long it takes to achieve adequate autophaghy required to clean up DNA, it takes 72 hrs to have any real impact on old cells in order to boost stem cells and reverse the impact of ageing on older cells. At age 47 I also have personal experience of regulating my cycle from 22 days back to 28 days with fasting and nutrient dense foods like salmon in between fasts. Just don't do it so often that you're losing too much body fat, but older women must get rid of senescent cells in order for healthy cells to survive. Fasting is the quickest way to lengthen telomeres by boosting sirtuins through autophagy which reverses biological ageing. I'm not medically trained but I believe older women must include occassional fasts if they want to reverse the impact of ageing on their eggs, as with every other cell in their body.

When I started doing 72h fasting EVERY MONTH, my period changed from 36 days to 30 days, all the months. It has been a game changer for me

As I say I'm not medically trained so I only have my own experience to draw on and what I've learnt about fasting from following non fertility doctors and scientists in the longevity field, who I'm guessing have no knowledge of how ovaries work. I do appreciate your insight and it did take a while for my cycle to settle after also making dietary changes to make fasting easier so I agree with your note of caution. I just think for older women it can give their ageing eggs a boost of youth, but the diet must be great too, no empty calories.

@@riffatvalliani8424 same, it cleared up all my hormonal skin and improved other pcos/insulin resistance symptoms. It even improved my thyroid numbers, which I think is because fat loss lowers inflammation. But I had lots of weight to lose and alongside keto it had a huge positive positive impact. I can now see a graph of my blood test results since 2014 on an app and there's a massive spike where all my numbers improved across the board when I got into keto and fasting. But I was metabolically unhealthy so it brought everything back into balance for me. It always takes a few months to improve health when embarking on a new plan so the worse shape you're in the longer it may take, but fasting took years off me. I even stopped wearing foundation and just wore sunscreen and mascara because I was so glowy. It takes effort but it's so worth it.
