Imagine you're lying on an operating table feeling the worst surge of fear you've ever felt in your life. You're freaking out, your doctors are chaotic, bright lights and beeping machines are all around, and as far as you know you're heading into the bright light. As you continue to panic, you fade into the unknown as you hear your doctor speak the last words you hear on this earth: "HAVE YOU EVER APPEARED IN ANY PORNOS?!"

@@DanteArisen Heck, even as an army dependent, I have seen how bad military health care can be. I once fell, and stupidly tried to break my fall by putting my arms out in front. Injured my wrist, and it hurt bad enough that my parents took me to the emergency room, Nuernberg Army hospital. I sat in the ER for 8 hours before I was seen. The attending person pushed on my arm, which hurt in certain places, and asked me to move my wrist, which hurt in certain places. And... That was all he did. He told me to keep ice on it and take some over-the-counter NSAIDs. Sent me home without any further investigating. That was Saturday. Monday morning, my ice was doing nothing to help my wrist, which had swollen to about twice the width. My mother took me into a walk-in pediatric appointment. The doctor who saw us ordered an x-ray. My wrist was fractured. There was this y-shaped fracture on my radius, and that was put in a cast. In another instance, a sneeze that put a bit of pressure on my ear. Not unlike popping your ears when you hold your nose. This pressure built up until it was excruciating pain, it actually woke me up in tears, it was so bad. I went to the emergency room, and they gave me antibiotics, which seemed to help. But all they told me was that I had an ear infection. That was also Saturday. Monday, my ear was still hurting, although not as bad as it was on Saturday. I also had marked hearing loss in that year. I go in for a walk-in pediatric appointment, and ironically get the same doctor I saw for my arm. He basically tells me that the infection was to such an extent and severity, that it burst my eardrum. Hence, why I could not hear. My final crappy Army hospital story was when I was 17. I had this tenderness and pain in my foot, specifically the big "ball" of my foot just behind the big toe. It was a sharp pain, and I hated to put weight on it. So... My mom took me to the emergency room, this time in Darnell Army hospital. they gave me a shot, I think it was a steroid. They took x-rays, they took blood, they actually did quite a bit of work. They found nothing. So, they put me in a cast for three weeks. Fun times. Forgive any grammatical or spelling errors, I am a bit drunk.

@@Grahf0 If it makes you feel any better, putting your arms out to break your fall wasn't stupid - it's instinctual. As far as your body's concerned, your arms are expendable, if breaking them means absorbing force that might otherwise have damaged your internal organs.

@@Grahf0 Not a doctor, but that all sounds... pretty appropriate? For the symptoms you were experiencing at the time you were seen, of course. That's why they always tell you to come back if you start experiencing new symptoms or increased severity of existing ones. Doctors aren't psychics; they can only work with what they have in front of them, and play the odds to the best of their ability.
