Fully down for this. Seasons 1-3 are high-tier TV, the clothes and sets are just incredible. Every suit looks so damn comfy and exquisite.

Kinda making me want to rewatch this one, it's been over a decade since I saw it. It's a pretty solid show for the most part, and the historical setting helps a lot. Most of the main gangsters you see, Capone, Rothstein, Luciano, they're all historical characters, and it's an interesting decision to have the show feature them as they rose to prominence. Also, good catch with tying the prohibition era to the Wire, that the prohibition atmosphere sort of makes the gangs thrive is central to both shows. Finally, don't worry, Omar will be comin'.

Capone works for Johnny Torrio (Butchie from Sopranos). Chicago mob. Lucky Luciano works for Arnold Rothstein. New York. Chalky White (Omar) runs the Black part of town in Atlantic City. Mickey Doyle is one of my favorites because of his giggle or chuckle or whatever. It's hilarious. More guys come in later. But these are the players so far. I swear, I can do like 2 or 3 episodes of Boardwalk Empire at a time. It's so addicting. I hope we get double uploads if this works out for you. Lol

Good choice. This is a Top 10 show. Stephen Graham is the best Capone ever. Some of the best villains and antiheroes ever.

It sucks that Martin Scorsese only directed the first episode, he should've done like 6 episodes for each seasons but there's a another hbo show called VINYL, Martin Scorsese only directed the first episode also, it was a good show

I would just ditch Peaky Blinders. Boardwalk is essentially a much better version of what that show sets to accomplish.
